mid grade snake implants?

I was wondering what's the general opinion about mid grade snake implants.

I kinda find them tempting since they are in the price range of being affordable to me. Do you guys think they're worth getting (with low grade omega maybe???)? Is anyone flying with them currently, and what's his/hers (let's be honest - his :P) opinion of them?

Cheers.

Oh yes they are very good and if you know what you're doing you dont lose any implants.

I lived in lowsec for over a year without losing a single clone, just warp smart when you pop.

Tho if you live in nullsec they are too expensive because you will lose them quite fast.

Check out my old spreadsheet on implants and their cost, its too old to have the new low grades tho.

What has confused me is that a lot of the time, the low grades are more expensive than the mid grades. I have been eyeing snakes for a little bit, and when i compare prices of low and medium grades, i find the mediums are usually cheaper (for the exact same attribute).

Anyone have any idea as to why that is?
I understand supply and demand, but i just don't see why anyone would attempt to sell a low grade implant at a higher price than a better mid grade one, I will obviously just go with the mid grade version...

Yes - they look amazing when it comes to cost. Especially if you take full set of mid grades and add low grade omega.

All I'd want is some more reliable opinions, since in game channels told me to save up for high grades. I mean - one good gate camp (insta pop t3 style) and the imps are gone. Wouldn't want this to happen to a set of high grade snakes...

This is why it comes to mids being best value-cash for me. The only thing I don't know is how will they perform in combat and sadly thats entire purpose for getting them in the first place lol

Snakes are absolutely great for frigate and dessie fighting. Even cruisers if you are in something kitey. Make sure you know how to get your pod out though.

Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec and nullsec.

thanks for the responses guys - I do realize now what was the reason for my last pod loss (I didn't spam warp coming out of the cloak on a gate camp - it would still get my pod out of the reach of the insta-lock t3).

Could you guys say what you think about mid grade snakes vs high grade snakes? I started this topic mainly because of an opinion that mid grade snakes aren't worth it and I should go for the high grades only. I was curious about opinions of different people about it.

Should I conclude from your responses that high grades are the way to go? :D

If they are anything like slaves in terms of performance/price then I would recommend mids over high till you can be certain of getting your pod out.

The set should cost about half what the highs would(so you can afford to replace them at least once) and will be mostly as effective.
