Back in the day when i mined ice in high sec i found the problem is not the ice or the amount of people mining it., its the time for R/S of 4 hours. I normally only got chance to catch one during my time when i get home from work.as i have around 6-7 hours to eat, deal with Real life and then play the game for a couple of hours before i go to bed, If im lucky i may get half of another.

i would prefer a reduced RS time but then adjust the ice amount to compensate, therefore there would be no more ice in the period but its just split. Example

I cant remember the exact figure but i think each respawn creates around 2,500 ice every 4 hours


So on that basis then every 2 hours it spawns 1,250


that would give people more opppotunity depending on there time zone to do some mining
