i'm thrilled, i can;t tell you how many times i forgot a skill to be set. now i can set like a years worth and not mess with it

So you are even more likely to miss that the skill queue ran out a month earlier now.

The unlimited que would allow more "shake and bake alts". Yeah I know people will complain about character selling (which is legal in the game BTW).

What I mean is, when training an alt up for a specific role, what do you do with it in the meantime? The unlimited que would allow us to set up characters with specific goals and lay out the training ahead of time.

The only thing I am worried about is the restriction regarding queing up skill not yet trained for, even if the skill required is being trained for previously in the que - but then a skill cannot be injected until certain requirements are met too - this too creates an obstacle for a "fire and forget" (or come back in 6 months) skill que.

Hopefully being able to inject a skillbook in the que becomes possible. Yeah I know the hurf blurf crowd will find it grating for something to be easier, as if having to log in and inject a skill and set the que is going to somehow give them an opportunity to gank your rookie ship or something and their game will be ruined now that we don't have to. But an infinite que without provisions for skill injection and dependency filling automatically won't amount to the kind of differences we envision.

That's pretty brilliant. Building the WTS char... maybe not entirely seemlessly, but a still stronger, faster, better than before.

I congratulate CCP on this masterstroke! Cool

Think of it, now they'll be able to collect your money, and not have to support your game experience at all! And from the looks of Eve-offline.net it appears that it won't be long before the only people actually logging in, are the scammers. Will it still be scamming, when no one is there to hear it?

It's interesting that in two different threads you mention eveoffline and scammers ...
... and I would love to see the stats about scammers on Chribba's site.

You sound seriously butthurt ... and I doubt that's intended.

Anyway ... what eveoffline doesn't show is that we break 40k users online ...
... when the US time hits. You're just a hater.

40k chars is not 40k users. Just to keep the facts straight.

CCP's been selling accounts to account holders a lot more than to new people. Running 3-10 accounts simultaneously has been common for a few years now while many claim the game is growing due to log-in counts. This will lower those numbers down a bit more but I don't think it'll bottom them out by a long shot.

Oh yes, sorry.

It's 40k characters ... wasn't intentional.

Anyhow ... CCP seems desperate,
... considering that they are pushing out features that have been asked for for years ...
... and they even did something for roleplayers again.

I wonder if they'll try to get NewSpace into the game faster ...
... or at least fast enough.

It's weird that people have completely forgotten about this ...
... but the game seems to be progressing towards it ... which is nice.

I wonder if they have found a way to procedurally generate good looking nebulae.

Probably not.

I don't think people have forgotten about that. It's that it is an empty concept at the moment. CCP haven't provided any content or detail to why people should get excited about it, so very few have. We've all heard promises about how the new promised feature will be cool and then gotten nothing even remotely close to those plans delivered, so CCP can't rely on vague promises in the same way a new or proved developer could. With CCP it could end up being anything from truly game changing to meh to a gigantic waste of development, which gets scrapped before it even releases.
