Top bar disappears when I zoom in with Opera. Still have to scroll left to see who wrote the post.

With notifications working correctly no need for a go to last post button in the thread but would be a definite win if added.

Will miss the devblog short cut being in the header. Evelopedia being in the drop down works.

Current version of the sticky header needs more color.

Drop down needs a Dev Developers site access point.

Can we get the thread title first with more text showing in notifications, only last poster is needed or a number of people that has posted lately.

And can we follow individual posters if they post again.

Have you thought of including badges for past CSM, and the forum post originator? I sometimes like to see what past CSM members have to say, or what the original poster says in response to others' posts about the topic.

I agree, it would be nice to have "Go to last post" button, we'll think about some neat way to implement it in phase two.
Not sure what to do with shortcuts, EVE Universe is already cluttered with many links. I expect most people to bookmark their favorite sites :) But we'll see what we can do.
Links in the header drop-down menu are now orange, which adds a bit more color variation to the header.

    On another note, we've deployed a few more changes to forums.testeveonline.com
  • Enabled code BBCode
  • Top sticky nav is more mobile friendly
  • Removed "Back to top" link in top sticky nav, instead the back to top arrow is now mobile friendly.
  • New background
  • New EVE Forum logo
  • Links in header drop-down menu are now orange


We're thinking about deploying phase one tomorrow if everything goes as planned!

Top bar is good in Opera now - very nice. But still can't see who's post it is without panning left or zooming out.

It's not a bug, just a design problem. See here: http://imgur.com/rFxW78K

This is how I view the forums. Double-tap the text column and you can't see the portraits any more. So while you can see who authored #103 because of the edit you cannot see who authored #104 without scrolling left to view the portraits. Which is an enormous pain.

Some text of who the author is just where the "Edited by" text is would be great.

Ah right, phase two will include the responsive update that will make the forums mobile friendly. Phase one, which you're seeing on testeveonline.com, is still fixed width and includes major changes where we're splitting up EVE Gate and EVE Forums.

Top bar is better, and unlike the earlier incarnation, it actually works on iOS Safari.

Changes look good, the need for sideways scrolling on the forums is still an issue on mobile.

just a heads up it changed my background , went to change it back to another one,saved it . but it loads the default one Ugh

The team reached the conclusion to remove the custom background option from the EVE forums. All settings relating to the forums now reside in the 'Forum settings' link under your character name. Therefore settings in EVE Gate should no longer apply to the forums.

Forums are super zoomed in and the sentences are are not wrapping around so I have to either zoom out or scroll to the right.
