Capital ship Drag racing... would be cool P

Something like this....

Requirements to enter the race:

You need to buy a pit-stop hanger, Space station is located in the drag race zone.
You need to skill train Drag racing skills, in order to do so you need to have a sponsor team, & also buy a license.

Also your ship needs to be fitted with all Deadspace Drag Racing Modules. You can buy these at your pit-stop hanger(station), well you exchange a normal deadspace module for a drag racing type. These modules will only work in the drag race. They have extra abilities, when overheated... increased ship speed, weapons overdrive (weapons fire at insane rates) . Yes you can shoot the other persons Capital ship, in doing so it will slow them down.

Additional Notes:

The track is setup in High-sec, anyone that decides to cross the track at any point while the drag race is active will be instantly destroyed. The killmail will come up on the billboards located in the area. Bumbing players onto the track is aloud, for added fun.

Sponsor team:

These dedicated players get a automatic free ticket to the event, so they can watch the action. Not only do they get to watch the event take place. They also get the chance to attack the losing ship as it crosses the finish line. Anyone that does so is free game to be killed by the other sponsor team. The winning ship is immune to damage.

In order to become part of a Sponsor team, you need to run missions for the Pirate faction that runs this drag race event. These Missions, will reward tokens that work as currency in order to get your Sponsor license agreement charter. You just need to hand this in & choose what team you want to Sponsor.

The winning team, if they destroy the other Capital ship, all modules that didn't get destroyed the Pirate faction gets them all back & you get the value worth in ISK.

Spectator mode:

The Pirate faction likes to make ISK, so they sell Tickets so you can watch the event Live on twitch. Can't have everyone at the event. This ticket you can buy with ISK, all you need to do is activate the ticket by logging into the Live feed / subscribe. Not only do you get to watch the event Live, you also get to place a BET on who will win just before you activate the ticket. So if your team you have selected wins, you get the amount of ISK back that was placed into the kitty.

Sponsor teams, The Drag race team & anyone that buys a ticket to the event, they get access to buying the Deadspace modules from the Pirate Faction LP store. Only these players can see them. These are the same modules that players gave the Pirate Faction for the Deadspace Drag Racing Modules. The window on getting these items is rather small. These items become soulbound, also since these Pirates like to see pvp, If you have them installed you are marked for pvp at all times. Pirate

EVEBoard ...Just over 60million skill points, each skill was chosen for a reason. I closed my eyes & clicked another skill to train... "BINGO...!!!" ... "This time i got something usefull"

If caps are allowed in HiSec, we might actually see a Rorqual in a belt.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Caps in Highsec would be okay with some alterations. Things like
* Pegging the aggression time to the mass of the ship i.e. capitals would have a 2-5 minute de-aggression time to jump or dock.
* CONCORD gets dreadnaughts for faster takedowns Twisted
* Reduce the sensor strength on caps by 30%-50%
* Consider every highsec system to be cyno-jammed.
* Stacking penalty for remote reps.
* Remove ewar immunity from supercaps but replace with +10 warp core strength

etc.

Pot meet kettle.

Implying literacy involves the ability to read and write.
That might be the modern intellectually impoverished definition, but literacy involves a familiarity with literature and the ability to read critically, these protect the individual from being sold ideas that have been invalidated and allow complex communication with very few words.
Imagine having to explain what a pyrrhic victory is instead of using the two-word phrase.

I read the Devblog and so did the OP. If you would have used your superior skills in literacy you would have been able to understand that. He presented a what if scenario, you didn't even read the OP. That was my point. Kettle.

I would say allow caps in HiSec as long as they can't engage in combat, help anyone in combat, or deploy any drones/fighters for any reason.

They can travel, repair ships not in combat and without timers, rep POSes and POS mods, and bowl / warp to zero on gates as the impulse dictates.

Just my thoughts.

From the smallest frigate, to the largest ship, the take down time is the same. CONCORD do not need dreadnaughts because they have Jovian guns :v

Another "let's make Hi Sec 'NO' Sec" thread. Kind of makes you wonder why where capitals CAN operate isn't such a fun place to be, and they need to be brought to the place that should NEVER be...kinda.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.
