After updating 2 days ago, I was burning my alt around when the game froze on me, like it usually does when Im undocked for too long

But, after trying to load back in, The game didn't load at all. It just gets stuck on a black screen, and character selection refuses to load. Launching the game without the launcher does nothing too. Ive already tried the repair tool, and reinstalled the game, to no avail.

Same problem for me just now. Screen freeze when in warp, now I can't see anything when launching Eve. Black screen, can't even see character selection screen.
When hovering the mouse over where the character should be I can click it and I hear the "Connecting.." audio, but the screen does not display anything.

I was having the same problem. After my whole system froze in the middle of a fight and I got podded, I rebooted everything only to find a black screen. The screen still functioned. I could select my character and a friend on TS confirmed I was logging in but I couldn't see anything on my end.

I removed my EVE folder in the library folder, resetting all of my UI and overviews to the default and was again able to log on. Everything seems to be working properly so far. Something somewhere in the EVE file is corrupted.

Yeah that worked for me as well. Just removing eve wasn't enough, I really had to remove the preferences folder in the user library and do a clean reinstall. Annoying but at least it's working again now.
