Topic title pretty much. Most interested in what happened leading up to and after the Empyrean Age expansion.

Your best bet is looking at the yearly summaries, in particular the one for YC110 for Empyrean Age-related stuff.

Indeed. While the pages I linked are a decent year-by-year summary of the game news, they don't really cover all the lore in the game. The fiction portal itself provides a much better starting point.

Additionally, feel free to hop in to the channel "OOC" - it's the discussion channel for the roleplay community, and we have plenty of lore fanatics happy to help you out - or check out the Backstage Forums for lore discussion.
