Modules Dissapearing

Maybe someone can help with my problem.

I was recently fitting a ship and required some modules from another so while in the fitting screen I switched ships. I then dropped said modules that I needed onto the inventory screen that was displaying my ships but when I switched to items they are not there.

I have checked everywhere and done an asset search but it seems they are gone, has anyone experienced this or is it a bug not reported?

If you dragged them to an invalid location they will not be removed. Such as specialty hangers. Check your original ship.

I have checked every single ship and they are not there, I am thinking it may be a bug.

They are not in any ship or any location, just gone like BP's used to do if you un rented an office.
