Also, it might be helpful for those evaluating whether to bid to have a further understanding of what is meant by the use of the funds for operational activities and "regarding the education and renovation of the portions of my palace dedicated to my charges." In what ways? What is the split?

Certainly, my dear. I have updated the original post with the current standing bids.

Regarding the "regarding the education and renovation of the portions of my palace dedicated to my charges" section. Whether or not you agree, my interpretation of a Holder's responsibility to bring their slaves into the cluster as free citizens, capable and ready to take responsibility for their own lives, has prompted me to this work. What they choose to do after then is no longer my concern, unless they request my assistance specifically. They will then be in the hands of God, and I will have done all I can.

To elaborate further, as many of my charges are of the 7th or 8th generations, I believe that there is no conflict between the expectation of many generations to pass before they are ready.

Upon my return to my holdings at the Duchy of Athror on Eclipticum, I have taken it upon myself to further the work I had started at the Xiadii estate, but on a much larger scale.

For those of you who have visited my palace and can validate my claims, I am converting large sections of my palace to further this goal. Assembly halls being turned into lecture halls with hired professors, banquet halls turned into efficient areas for sustenance, as well as vast, clean dormitories for my charges to have their own personal needs met, etc.

The money raised from this auction will go to help speed up the construction and renovation of the areas I have mentioned, as well as any others, should the need arise.

This is to ensure that if my charges choose that they wish to leave my service upon their graduation from my university, that they will have the tools they need to survive in the cluster, rather than thrusting the responsibility of freedom upon their unprepared shoulders.

If you have further questions, please feel free to message me personally, as I do not wish to incite more inflammatory comments from those who may disagree.

Thank you! That is exactly what my point is! Thus my calling it a philanthropic endeavor. It is not for my own glorification or benefit. It is because I am interested in the welfare of those who have been charged to me. I am responsible for quite a few other persons, in my corporation and my holdings, and thus the entire purpose of this event.

For my own monetary income, I run security contracts or other methods in a similar fashion such as hunting non-capsuleer pirates. I am responsible for more than just myself, and have taken that responsibility very seriously.
