Detach the Galaxy map please.

Every time I want to look at the Galaxy map, I have to accept that I lose all visual to the outside world. It takes up the whole screen, I can't move it around, and I can't adjust it. I liken this to how people used to medidate in Everquest (they used to have to click on their spellbook and stare at that screen, and they could not see what was going on at all).

Could the Galaxy map be put into a resizable window so it does not gobble up my entire screen? I would like to look at it while flying and use it when I am probing.

It sounds like F11 is more along the lines of what you want.

And while they're at it, they can add a filter for stars by sovereignty and/or region so the whole universe isn't rotating in the background all the time.

That doesn't have the functionality the main Galaxy map does, and from my understanding, that too is not detachable (maybe I'm wrong here, I honestly never tried to move it).

Alternately you could learn how to use the overview. Honestly though, the only version of ingame map I use is the system map for scanning. Dotlan is far superior to the ingame map.

I live in wormhole space, half my life is staring at that map. I'd love to detach it somehow.
