Small reason why NPC stations throughout null are a BAD IDEA

Because little guys wont be able to use them. if they ar eplentiful enough the big guys will just use these invincible stations to store their fleets and assets, and project power from there, so now, instead of current mechanics where a spontaneous new force (such as BNI) can overwhelm a small-medium sized nullsec force and take SOV, locking out war assets along the way to gain momentum, they now hit a brick wall of "station they arent allowed to capture" that has 4-5 hundred capitals sitting in it waiting to undock and lulstomp whatever fleet is harassing the nearby territory.

just saying. that will happen, and it will just provide more safety to the big guy's territory.

I'd guess they are for the big guys to store their stuff safely while the player outposts become destroyable.

to accomodate desire for npc content in all null regions it doesn't have to be stations, it could be done with cosmos type agents in space Smile

If it's a station then it's a hole in their control and puts them in exactly the same situation as any others with NPC stations around - like highsec, lowsec and NPC nullsec.

"Safe fleets!" - for one and all who get stuff in them. It would make it impossible to dig out all the resistance. People can park in the stations, wait for the hostiles to get bored and come right back out to start fighting. It's why they cannot hold NPC null and why "failed empires" there flee to lowsec - so they have a safe base to try and rebuild from.

Putting such into SOV lands would breach that space in ways that would make them always vulnerable to attack being as raiders can use them as bases to harass SOV holders... So on and so forth.

As Mordecai said - NPC's in ships might work but if they make accessible stations - they will screw the SOV holders over in a huge fashion being as such stations can house anyone and they'd never again be safe from retaliation.

I wouldn't worry about new NPC Stations. Greyscale states here that they would rather not do that.

One does have to wonder though, the timing of "the null deal" with its proposed npc stations coincides rather interestingly with this jump range nerf. A mere two days separates the two posts. Just something interesting....P

Bunch of Crap.
I am a "little" guy who flies solo. I have Jump clones, ships and gear all over Null where NPC stations are. I jump there and do stuff when it suits me...

So...get stuffed...

It's almost like CCP said they were planning to have some sov changes out by the end of the year publicly, and that the natural progression of updates was indicating they were about ready to start on the first part of those.
Hell, I'm not in null sec currently, nor connected to any of the big blocs, and I knew CCP had to be about ready to release some information on some null updates soon if they were to make the deadline.
