This is 3 separate situations, right?

1) if you're <30 days old, unlimited moves
2) if you've joined a corp, you get one free move
3) once a year you get a free move

No: if you're less than 30 days old, one free move per new corp

If you're over 30 days old, one free move per year, corp has nothing to do with it

tl;dr These changes are heavy handed and good, which is good. Push out changes (while reexamining med clone change) and alter from there.

Don't let the haters kill the game.

One year cooldown is probably too long. As suggested above, perhaps 4x per year or a shorter cooldown?

Also there is a serious imbalance of minerals in null that will be compounded with these changes, please coordinate this release with a modification of mineral distribution in null ore anomalies.

Edit: Mineral prices are going to get annihilated even further as people wind down super/capital production.

You may push a button in your corp interface (while a member of a player corp and docked) that:
- Moves your medical clone to a station designated by your corporation, and
- Automatically moves you to your medical clone

Exact method of corporations designating target station still being ironed out, but it will involve at the very least being able to designate a default station for all corp members, and will likely be allowed for *any* station with a corp office, regardless of system sec status.

This seems to us like it solves the "I want to recruit people to nullsec" concern, and also gives non-nullsec recruiters an easier way to get genuinely new players to the right location easily.

Thoughts? Pasting this into the FAQ and also trying to get it into the blog proper.

Wait, so you physically relocate the person?

Wooooowwwww.... don't do that dude. The current system is straight up superior in all respects to this.

Because right now most nullsec space is not even worth fighting over much less holding it other then for renting it out? Are you going to address the fact that nullsec is especially worthless?

That's a question I'd suggest you ask your leaders, not us.

This *IS* a problem. You need to have conflict drivers beyond just "eh... let's go **** with these dudes." It's really not giving much confidence in the things to come after this if that is the type of response you have. Right now, and apparently in the future judging by that response there is little reason to go fight over some place.

You have the stick. You're brandishing the stick wildly. Now listen to your players and at least show some regard for the need of a carrot.

This might actually get CCP more re-subs than whiners unsubbing over something which is not even set in stone yet.

Now IF CCP would also introduce a new ship like a heavy bomber/piloted fighter bomber that works pretty much like an upscaled fighterbomber already in game, i.e. very good vs supers, good vs caps, bad vs anything else to discourage the idea of nano, warp speed optimized carrier roams and camps to act as some sort of counter then these changes would actually be awesome!

Maybe cutting the JF a little slack and increasing its range a little above the others but other than that thumbs up CCP.

Seriously, when my alliance first rented a system - there was only a couple of offices available, and my corp was among those who got the short stick. We had to travel manually in some ****-fit frigates, we died hilariously to gate camps, several times of course - and it was a great experience!

Why should newbies jump from the safety of hisec directly into the safety of blue doughnut? Let them feel the real taste of nullsec.

They have a tendency not to have the resources to use Jump frieghters to use Jita as a hub for everything. All production should be able to completed in Null sec with out needing to Visit Jita.

The small null sec resource gatherer can't make a living, currently Jita sells everything and logitics can deliver it instantly, and mobility is so easy in Null sec for hot drops that the risk does not match the reward.

I am looking forward to these new changes.

Wont happen, your dreaming.

Plus, if you can get everything in Null, what's the point of all the high-sec miners?

If no-one buys form High-Sec, the price will wall untill its cheap enough to haul to 0.0 again.

A clone bay POS module that could also be used for this purpose would be awesome. If corp A has intel on the default corp respawn/entry point for corp B they could potentially just camp that station. Factoring in POSes makes them more strategically valuable and makes this kind of scenario more difficult, especially if it can be moved around from time to time. If these could also allow respawning in wormholes if you die in that wormhole, it would fix one of the headaches/gaps in wormhole living too. If that seems like making things too easy, make them require some kind of fuel to function like jump bridges. Food for thought I hope. Pirate

Yep, that's probably what he intended, but it's something which could do with better clarification. I'm sure it's 30 days old AND join a corp, you get a move, and then once a year you get a move.

Please don't add more unneeded game mechanics to the sandbox, people can fly there just fine. If folks are held back by having to travel then they might as well quit the game right now. It's just another form of insta travel, just like the one you're trying to remedy.

So many alt accounts will be un-subbed.

The notion of there being 10000's of alts ready to swap ships and carry on moving is a false one.

It will become Sub-Cap online. (which is fine) and 1000's of Cyno accounts and Holder toons will be un-subbed

I think it's an interesting idea, as long as it doesn't accidentally count as us having died, and thereforte reset that medical clone to 900k SP kept. I would also just go with a straightup 30 day time across the board, or you're really putting the screws to corp infiltrators and safari AWOXers who use this to get to their new victims err...corps.

Oh yeh, that sounds bad.

Perhaps make it so that you can contract a jumpclone so that it can be shipped to the new destination? That achieves the same goal for new players wanting to join, gives them an option over flying out to null but stops the ability for characters to instantly get somewhere.

What about those that get kicked/leave corp will in a sov station?

How will they get out without just hoping they don't get podded?

e.g. Jeff gets kicked from corp. He tries to leave to empire in a ceptor. Gets caught and podded before he gets out of sov 0.0. He is now back in the sov station, but unable to upgrade his clone (standings). He used his yearly move 8 months ago.

It seems he's presented with the choice of trying again in an alpha clone or waiting there until he gets into a new player corp. He can't just make his own corp (as the hq system would be the same system he's already in).

To address this, I would probably do the following.

Upon removal/leaving a corporation which your medical clone is installed in their station, upon death, move medical clone back to characters birth system, and rebirth them there.

It is a protective measure at that point.

So if you leave/get kicked out of a corp or change corps and your medical clone is in a Player Owned Station that does not like you, if you get podded before you change stations/update your medical clone location, your medical clone automatically gets moved to your highsec birth station (or a designated station based on your Starter/NPC corp). Basically you die, you go back to happy highsec, and your medical location is moved automatically.

Its really a bandaid though for a problem that does not exist.

You want a player into deep null... get them there. Half the fun of the adventure is the journey itself.

This is a bandaid for something that isn't cut or broken. This really isn't needed.

Keep the Journey.

Yaay!!!!
