Not argueing about implications, why are your examples inconsistent with/going beyond your explanation?

After a jump is complete but before your fatigue is increased, you gain a jump cooldown timer. The length of this timer is a number of minutes equal to your jump fatigue (before being increased by that jump!), and you are unable to make another jump of any kind until this timer expires.

His first jump, of 4.85 LY, takes him to U-TJ7Y. Because he has no fatigue before the jump, he gains a minimum-length jump cooldown timer: 1 minute, plus 4.85 minutes for the distance travelled (?), for a total of 5.85 minutes, or 5 minutes 51 seconds. He also gains a jump fatigue value of 5.85.

Is this supposed to be a secondary unexplained mechanic to increase the length of the first cooldown? Or is the first setting of the fatigue supposed to be before the cooldown calculation?

for all the players that have invested so much time, isk, and money into eve for so many years this is a slap in the face! 5ly with that add the cool down and that other dumb thing. how about u just get rid of jump drives and call it a day. oo and btw death cloning meah nerf that too.

i thought ccp was over this lets do this half ass thing and and the 4th guy on page 3 will love it. the backlash from this will be worst than incarna. or that internal letter leak. this will destroy eve.

1. titan pilots unsub
2. super pilots unsub
3. half of 0.0 unsubs
4.eve looses about 25% of its monthly income
5. eve instead of loosing Devs to other companys in droves starts having to lay people off
6. they try to fix massive screw up with some sort of buff.
7. doesnt hack it game dies.

i have been a player for 9 years and if this goes through i wont be the only one leaving.

2007 EvE > 2014 EvE.

Battle ship slug fests. Large hac fleets, large fast atack frig fleets. it was glorius!

It was a time when you held 0.0 territory you actually had to work as a team to hold it, to move people out there you had to escort them out there.

Having your hand held by larger groups while you paid them for there the space isn't hard work. :)

All I can say is... poor Bobby

EDIT: time for proper questions...

  1. Does "capitals will be able to use gates" include supers and titans?
  2. Will titans and Blops gain jump fatigue when other people use their jump bridges?
  3. Will clone JUMPING incur jump fatigue? You specifically said "gate jumping" will not,but failed to mention JCs
  4. I suspect capital gate-to-gate travel will increase demand for Ascendancy implants by a ridiculous amount. Do you have any plans to increase their availability by e.g. making them drop in nullsec?
  5. I suggest that pilots should be able to set their medical clone station to their Corp's HQ as well as their current station

  1. Good question. I suggest not. Because **** supers and titans. They are literally AIDS.
  2. Another good question. I suggest not.
  3. We already have a skill and a cooldown timer for jump cloning. So I seriously doubt it unless CCP removes those skills and reimburses SP.
  4. Dem low-sots... what are they for?
  5. I'm not a fan of the death clone change. High-SP characters (the kinds of players that have the SP and can afford to fly capitals, don't like to death clone. Something about expensive implants/clones. This change will mostly affect those that least need it. With the timers staying with you, a new clone won't make a difference.

  6. Question, can death clone contracts be revoked by the station owner at any time? If so, this could lead to cloning fuckery where corps just move their HQ to the desired station and then have the current station owner revoke all contracts, automatically moving all death clones to the new station.

So, people are gonna breed "jump alts" to move their caps and seed them around the galaxy... they jump it 2-3 times, then the next alt takes over the ship, while the actual combat pilot is having a sandwich and then jumpcloning to the meeting point to do the final jump and the kill / grind

And CCP will laugh its way to the bank with the extra sub cash. You really think they didn't see this?

CCP Just killed all cap fights, RIP EVE o7

EvE was just fine before cap fights and super cap brawls. also 0.0 was less stagnant and more of the player base actually lived out there.

i agree but that was over 8 years ago. things have changed.

CCP Logibro, CCP Fozzie, CCP Greyscale

Hope these changes work out.

Though I suspect a primary emergent effect will be a lot of canceled alt accounts. I'm certainly considering it.

You REALLY need to rethink the 5LY max jump range. I can live with the countdown but that max range is far too harsh of a nerf. Also you need to rethink blops also or you might as well remove them from the game.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I have a better solution.

ArrowJump range 8 LY with skills.

ArrowChange decay rate to 0.2 / minute

ArrowFinally change fatigue gain to 1 + ( 0.75 * light years traveled)

This provides a nerf but not a super harsh nerf.

so if you travel 10 light years you will have a fatigue of 1 + ( 0.75 * 10) = 8.5

At a decay rate of 0.2 per minute it will take 42.5 minutes to remove all fatigue.

This is not as bad as 85 mins to remove fatigue.

GUYS we are going to get the nerf, but...... it doesnt have to be super harsh. So be reasonable on both sides. Let's just change the formula to be less harsh ok?

Guys rather than just say im quitting why not use your FUCKEN BRAINS AND FIND A MUTUAL SOLUTION WE CAN ALL AGREE ON.

Thank you CCP for having the balls to do this.

For anyone moaning about how tedious it will now be to travel across the map for a fight; that's the whole point! Find a fight closer to home, go reset your standings and destroy your neighbours because you're bored. Let chaos rule again.

For those moaning about not being able to jump bridge across their vast swathe of empty null sec space; that's the whole point! Downsize your sov space so you can move across it to defend it, and let someone else move in next door.

For those moaning about logistics challenges, we managed fine for years without jump bridges and jump freighters (including moving moongoo). Or if it's too much hassle for your alliance to hold half the bloody moons on the map, then don't hold them all - oh wait, maybe that's possibly the point?

How many of you actually remember back to the 2007/2008 era where multiple wars were happening across null sec? Fountain seemed like a million miles from Deklein, and you'd certainly never consider traveling all the way down to catch just for one fight.

Stop crying just because you're ******* lazy.
