Quick question about fighter drone deligation.

ok so Carrier fitted with DDA's \ Omni's \ Nav comps blah blah do the fighters get the stat's? Yes? after Hyperion or w\e patch it was?

next question when those same fighters are deligated to a fleetmate do the bonuses still remain or does it take bonuses from the host ship?

if its the host ship can you DDA and the like on that ship and get boosted stats? mainly the omni's as i hear Fighters tracking is terrible for sub Bs's

thanks in advance :P

It has been a while since I payed a lot of attention to capitals so it's very possible that my information is rather outdated but...

It is my understanding that assigned fighters receive no bonuses - not from the assigning carrier, nor from the ship to which they are assigned. This means that the only skill which effects assigned fighters is Drones (which limits the number of fighters can be assigned to a pilot).

I'm going to test this in a few minutes and post the results.

well this Dev blog imply's that the fighters get bonuses from the Carrier but it dosn't say anything about Deligated fighters.

it maintains the carrier's stats so it seems, i just tested this on SIsi and with 5 tracking computers, 2 low slot tracking mods, and 3 DDA's i was able to succesfully track and kill a raptor with templars from a safe spot using an astero for control

♣ Small Gang PVP, Large Fleet PVP, Black Ops, Incursions, Trade, and Industry ♣ 70% Lethal / 30% Super-Snuggly / 110% No idea what im doing ♣

That's awesome thank you for testing! i lack the skills to do so. this means my alt can fly a cariier and assign fighters to a ratting ship and obilerate sites at a rather rediculess speed i presume.

I believe the carrier assigning fighters must not be inside of a POS shield, correct?
Can the carrier assigning fighters sit in a safe spot cloacked?

The carrier needs to be outside a pos shield and uncloaked. As such the preferred way is to park the carrier at the edge of a pos shield and assign fighters to 3 ships that don't have drone bays or need them

Thank you.

Am I correct in the assumption that the five assigned fighters are accumulative to the drones which the ship, that has fighters assigned to, can already field? ie. a Tristan could control five Light Drones and five Fighters?

No, Which is the reason ships that lack drone bays are better for this as they usually have better dps/application with turrets/missiles. I preferred to use t3:s for this. Oh and fighters don't like acceleration gates when assigned

So you're trying to get maximum farmability with the absolute minimum amount of risk?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Has my response satisfied your highly constructive, not-at-all-snide inquiry?

How2Carrier:

Have 4 Alts in a Rattlesnake, each with 2 Geckos.
Have a Nyx class Supercarrier, parked at a freshly onlined POS that hasn't have it's Force-Field password entered yet.
Preset the Password you are GOING to use in the NYX.
Be in Accesrange of the Tower with the NYX.
Fit 2 (or 5, then you need 5 Rattlers) Drone Control Units.
Fit max Drone DPS / Application

Assign 3 Fighters to each of your Rattlers and cycle Forsaken / Forlorn Hubs in them.

Neut in Local? Recall all Fighters, move Rattlers to safety (MJD helps a lot here).
In case they drop da Nyx, just online the FF.
Boof, Nyx is safe.

Should net you some 30-40m Ticks per Rattler.

A Rattlesnake can only use 1 Gecko at a time.

Pfff, one rattler less then.
