COMCAST THROTTLING - possible issues patching

I have been working on updating my client for the past 6 hours to no avail, 18% was the highest i had reached. I tried reparing with the second client and 3 hours later it was still at 14%. At first I thought perhaps traffic issues but noticed when I restarted the launcher (which I also had to update manually) the download speed would be fine for about 30s to 1 minute, and then slow to barely registering, making dial up look like t1.

So I started wondering, am I being throttled?

SO.. I started to tether the connection using my cell, on AT&T and after updating some files and getting that running, in a mere 12 minutes I am at 60% and steadily updating.

So Comcast can expect a call tomorrow and if something is not done I will be cancelling my account. in fact the other day I upgraded my account to a 50m down 10up connection which, even while downloading the patch was reading at around 60mb down and 15 up, has not given any improvement to game speeds or loading times. and honestly I wonder if I should ask for my money back!

I ask anyone else having issues with Comcast and downloading todays patch to call, complain and demand they stop this practice.
