If I want to multibox, will I need to create a new account, or can I play two characters from the same account at the same time?

So until I can pay for the second account with PLEX my only option is to pay $30/month, damn man how do you guys do it?

In order to have multiple characters logged in at the same time, you need to have multiple accounts.

Meaning, you cannot have two character slots on the same account be logged in at the same time. They can train skills at the same time if both of them are PLEX'd, but they cannot be logged in simultaneously.

Depends a lot on what you use the characters for. Most people who multibox can either afford to pay for all of them using RL money, or they can afford to pay for PLEX for all of their accounts in game. Either way, they're relatively rich.

I don't buy a Starbucks on the way to work like most of my peers do.

There, paid for 9-12 accounts, depending on the amount of actual coffee in the beverage. (I don't *have* anywhere near that number of accounts, but I digress.)

Other times I've PLEXed my accounts because I was IG flush and felt like it.

And I take breaks from EVE when I can't afford the time commitment (which is starting to be all the time).

Everybody's financial situation is different, YMMV. EVE is about USD .30/day/account

I pay for 3 accounts, its not that big an issue on my end. As for plexing, you can make enough in just pi to plex a few accounts with no issue

I can see being a poor kid.

But for us fat lazy 'Muricans sucking down triple shot caramel macchiatos, a month of starbucks is the same cost as ~18 accounts.

It's about 25 accounts if you live in NYC.

9 accounts if you live in Kansas, Oklahoma or Indiana. (Holy c****t the coffee is cheap there and tips are typically refused.)

For many that "play" EVE, is it considered more a hobby than a game. Considering the price that comes with many other extra-curricular activities, paying for numerous EVE accounts is relatively cheap.

If you sub the accounts for more than a month at a time the cost goes down.
I run 2 with 4 characters,
This one, my main.
A hauling alt in a neutral Corp.
Empty slot.

Main alt , scout, covops scanning and boosts.
Anonymous(sortof) market alt
Empty slot awaiting toon for ... Reasons.

That's about €30 a month which i can get as much entertainment out of as I care to that would otherwise last me about an hour in the pub.

Starbucks is horribly overpriced.
I prefer coffee from an actual Kaffeehaus ...

I am evidence of this being false. Single account and no fucks given.
