OK first off when was the pleasure hub removed?? I never heard of it being removed.

I always wanted space tornadoes, please gimmie space tornadoes? Meh. I used to rant about them because I never got to see them.

As for that sign? I once got a mission with nothing in the site but a bunch of pirate frigates orbiting that sign, pretty sure that one is still around somewhere.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

They've removed the moaning voice too.....
... which was another of these patches were they've removed depth.


The pleasure hub was many years ago.


Same **** as above, at a different time.



If we look at the meta, it's always the same.



They remove distraction.
They make it easier to use.



The pleasure hub was a distraction, which had to be removed ...

... locking out a huge crowd of erotic roleplayers ...

Since this is part of the art team, I wonder how hard it would be to redesign it with the updated graphics? I suspect with the new engines it might be more graphics intensive though. Any art and graphics devs able to comment on this?

I miss much of what we used to have as well, like the tornados in Recon 3 of 3 and the construction signs. Its these little things that give life to what can be a monotonous environment.

The problem with slavery is that only half of the manacles are visible. The Holder, supposed master, is equally bound by the gilded chains of privilege and wealth.

It's been a while since I thought about the old pleasure hubs interiors, the toxic clouds and other details that made Eve something wondrous back when I started playing nearly 7 years ago. Sadly many features like the toxic clouds, the old style engine trails, the bright nebulae, etc were axed in the name of better graphical performance at the demand of players. Although it would be awesome to see them return I'm afraid that we won't see that happen, at least not anytime soon. CCP seems to be running in austerity mode lately and only working on the basic, core stuff.

To those who posted screenshots from "the old days", thanks for the memories.

Well ... they ruined explosions ...
... but they brought back engine trails.

They made new stars, at least from the distance ...
... and they said they'll make nebulae brighter ...
... and maybe even increase the resolution.

They said they did so with the wormhole nebulae ...
... but I am unable to verify that claim.

Yup eve isnt the same :/ the best feel, climat it has in times of old nebulas, and jukebox, that music makes everything

They removed the pleasure hubs when they re-did the station interiors. I don't remember precisely when that was, but it was quite some time ago... perhaps when Incarna was deployed? Or maybe even earlier...

All station interiors are now exactly identical for each faction, there is no variety. I loved that variety.

IIRC the Gallente station interior that had the pleasure hub neon sign in it was removed by Apocrypha if not earlier.
