you didn't specify 1600mm plate.

No? Are you thinking the old catalyzed arc-jet thrusters/ new prototype 10mn? Because the digital boosters have always been the storyline modules. They are Meta 5.

My point is that the Absolution CAN fit a mwd, full guns, AND a 1600 plate.

yes... Oops edited my post to reflect being ********.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I mean it can be done after crucible, it couldn't before (when I started this thread), so good for them, but it doesn't help bring any type of uniformity to the ships. Some have 7 turrets some have 6. Some are easy to fit and others are a pain. Compare this to say, tier 3 battleships, where there are differences between the ships, but you basically know the slot layout and what they can do. Fits can be tight but not insane.

The Command ships are just all over the place from to another.

Why not allow for some flexibility? Allow the BC Tech2 bpc to be able to use any of the tech1 racial specific hulls in the manufacture. (ie hull stays with specific races) The result will be merely cosmetic. (need CCP's input to know if such a thing is possible).

1. current hulls are not affected
2. same skills and slots - but the option of say a Vertical Eos
3. retaining slot layout, so no imbalancing
4. generates a niche market in manufacturing and trading

you didn't specify 1600mm plate.

EDIT --> OK, swapped out the 800mm with a 1600mm plate. you lose 11m/sec over the other one ... but gain about 8k HP.

[Astarte, Astarte]
Damage Control II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Reactive Membrane II

Medium Anti-Explosive Pump I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I

edit 2 --> ugh, you're right with the MWD. ******* new names.

OK, swapping that out puts you 2% over. No big deal to throw in a 3%PG implant (or take off an EANM for a RCU II, I suppose)

I have a similar buffer Astarte fit:

Quote:
[Astarte, Buffer]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Armor Explosive Hardener II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

However, the more "acceptable" fit for Astartes is with local reps:

Bling with faction mods as needed.

I'm glad that the astarte isn't a complete joke anymore, but it doesn't do much to fix the Eos or the other commandships that need a balancing adjustment. Revamping the whole thing might seem drastic, but I think changing the hulls is an easy way to set a new standard, without going through each one individually over the course of years to fine tune things.
