Hi, here is a strange idea.
I am playing this game non violent ,I know people playing this might find this bad.

i just would like to have a game where you can full-fill your science fiction cravings without always fighting.
even non-violent missions like mining and industry require at some point( 3rd level) to shot some one.

except for 2nd life and mine-craft there is not much games where you can play non violent.

I know my category of players is very very small so it might not even be worth it.
It would be to have at least one story line where you can play without violence and have a space station eventually.

of course its about money so i am sure you guys can find a way to make it very expensive and multiple skill levels 50+ day each to make it to that point...

my regards,
rene

You can play "non-violent" all you wish. There is exploration (hacking into Data sites)... salvaging wrecks you find... being "middle management" for a corporation/alliance... propaganda mouthpiece for a corporation/alliance... spy/intelligence gatherer... scout... prospector... miner... industrialist... Research and Development... logistics man... trader... etc.

Just understand that even if you choose a non-violent path you are still affecting others in some way (see: you are a part of the general conflict theme that pervades EVE)... and you do not have the right to be insulated from the violent tendencies of others anymore than others have the right to be insulated from your "peaceful" activities.

And I would like a game where I could fully indulge in my violent tendencies and not have to get banned for crossing the line. I guess I like the chaos and destruction part.

Guess what (sadly) Eve is as close as it gets.

You can instead parade hippy attitude elsewhere.

INB4 someone diagnoses me for some mental disorder because I play this game that way.
Oh yeah and just so we are clear most carebears and hippy attitude people don't even know what they are asking for, Eve without danger and social interactions is a very boring game.

Try mining in an amarr system with 0 players for a day, that's what you are asking for.

This reminds me of one of my buddies who plays Guild Wars. He got banned from PvP because he was too good at it and slaughtered everyone. Apparently, he was doing team based pvp events solo against huge teams. I told him he should check out Eve because he won't get banned for being "too good" at pvp. He said he wouldn't like Eve because of the complete lack of a 100% safe area. Lol. You can't please them all, I guess. Some people will cry about damn near everything. And that's fine with me, because tears quench my thirst better than anything. :)

Tell me chief, how are you getting your stuff like meat (food) and feathers (bed stuff)? Please do tell us your secret on how are you playing minecraft not slaughtering animals often.

This would be base game, no mods.

And there are a number of industrial paths.

I chose Planetary Industry and contrary to the popular myth, not because it's 'Easy'. It isn't. I have 72 planet capacity and keeping production efficient, moving goods, assembling goods, getting things to where they need to be to make things then sell them is not a cake walk. While it's unlikely I will have a Bestower 'slpoded because of the 90K Oxygen it's dragging around, my 'non violent' side of EVE is not without risk. I could spend 3 months making 30K Hermetic membranes only to have the price fall out from under me.

The options are there for this sort of game play though. It's like trying to get to the bathroom in a mosh pit. You can bully your way through the crowd and take a punch in the head here and there or you can navigate the crowd and wait your turn when the need to do so is warranted.

Well you can eat bread or carrots or something then you're in the clear there... Beds arent wool and planks anymore? 'cause you can make wool from string by raiding a spider's web or something... And he might be playing creative.

Otherwise check out space engineers, its like minecraft in space...

Totally dude; i can dig it. Non violence all the way is so misunderstood.
its not that i don't like violence, its rather likely that my genies kick in and i decide to go find a person to improve its dental works.

WE can't really prevent free will: it would just be bizzare... with all those strange server restrictions ...

Odds are that your corporation will get targeted by random war declorations...
Maybe some member talked trash, like people do, and got everyone decked by an entire allaince...

When it is an alliance i don't have a clue..
When it is a corporation that is on your case
then you can look up the entire corporation in http://evewho.com/

then you get a plex or 2 and sell them off

then you place a huge bounty on each and every last one of the corporation memebers

It will **** them up i guarentty..

they are always running outof money due to clone and ship costs and having a bounty on their heads in space that is filled with broke pilots is how you kill them indirectlly.

So
think,
step back
try to perceive the entire scenario as a whole week instead of just an minute at an time.

Of course you would notice little things like "use an alternate character" that has no links at all to you in any friggin way.
Make that ALT place the bounty.

hit me back if you got any ideas

Could you quantify more accurately your scope of "violence" that you do not want to do.

Cause my mind just filled in you[r] post as i glanced over it;
thus i read that you were having pvp related troubles;
when in fact, u were having ...
more rather
a request to have anything science or industry realted todo that did not involve guns nor drones.

And please,
ignore the trolls :D

As it turns out they are not that at all 90% of the time ;)

OP.... wrong game. EVE is designed as a sandbox with minimal rules first and foremost, not as a sci-fi simulator.

Try X3 AP
With a mod like this

I was going to say that the OP should play X3 but even there you have to complete the Bala Gi mission chain to get your space station and that requires killing NPCs.

OP : you can play as non-violent as you like, station trading and industry might be what you are looking for.

NASA has a great game that is based on building lunar colonies or explore planets in the Solar System

I like that; Amarr Empire space, in contrast to Caldari and Gallente space, offers a lot for more solitary players and I sincerely hope it will always stay this way. The good thing about EVE is that it offers something for almost every taste and preference.

By the way: If you want to "fully indulge in [your] violent tendencies and not have to get banned for crossing the line", you should clearly not play a game, but try out some extreme sports or martial arts. Games are not nearly satisfying enough in that regard. Blink

Eve is a sandbox in which he may decide very much so how he wishes to play.
That he likes a certain aspect that you do not seem to like, doesn't make him less eligible to play this game.
