I tried to launch eve and I keep getting the offline message on the launcher. I clearly have an internet connection because I'm posting this from the same computer. I can't find any fault reports. What's going on?

Server stability for people all over has been hell ever since the DDOS attack a few weeks ago.

Earlier today, the Dixon Mining Guild and the Butz Manufacturing Corporation formed a coalition.

It's hard to tell if there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dixon-Butz Alliance.

Yeah, I knew about those. Wasn't sure if it was related or not.

You cqn bypass the launcher by running the exefile in the bin folder.

In case you need to update, running the repair tool first should fix that too.

Yeah I've been having the same issues with the launcher being offline since last night. Managed to bypass it by using the .exe file in the bin folder for a few hours, but after an internet crash I haven't been able to connect back to TQ due to port issues. Sad

Ran the repair tool multiple times and still no luck, ended up putting a support ticket in so I'm just going to wait it out.

What you can and should try ...
... which helped a lot of people including myself ...
... is disconnecting your modem from power ...
... reconnecting it after a few seconds ...
... and then trying again.

I have no explanation WHY this works ... but it worked quite often.

Better than nothing.

Tried this a few times with no luck before I posted, went to the support forum and found a thread with a link to download the latest version of the launcher. Seems to have fixed my problems completely. Smile

The bin file worked for me. Any idea when the main file will work?

Thanks.

I suggest posting in the issues forum.

Either in a thread that's made already ...
... or create your own.

It is unlikely that anyone here can help you anyway.

The launcher is pretty much just a shortcut to the bin in away. Using the .exe in the bin just lets you bypass the launcher. Try using this link to download what I'm pretty sure is the latest version of the launcher. Worked first time for me, just had to wait for a few minutes for it to validate. Hope this helps Smile

I've been having massive lag both to the forum as with ingame clients, started about an hour ago or so. It seems to be slightly better atm.

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

I demand compensation for the Shadow spawns I could have gotten while the server is offline...

This is really getting out of hand.

In the earlier dev post it was said that there wasn't anything they can do about the DDOS, is that actually true?

Can't they start trying to get compensation from the london server farms or whatever? I'm pretty sure if the sever farms start taking financial hits that they will try to find the ones responsible. This can't possibly be good for the game, and needs to be addressed and fixed.
