They will create different fitting options for each module.

Right now there are none, and they plan to create some options.

Each Meta 1-4 Tier will have a special purpose. Meta 1 = Less CPU , Meta 2 = Less cap etc... They only talked briefly about it in a vid i saw. That will make all tiers viable, if you need to fit a ship a specific way

It means the EFT warriors are going to have their panties in a bunch, if CCP does it right.

Why? This is content for TRUE eft warriors :)

Anyways, ill believe when i see it, if anything can be guessed from the drone rebalance the change will be more back and forth instead of changing anything.

Except this is CCP, and if the Dev BLOG is any indication about the direction the shooty stuff is going, they are going to have another threadnaught on their hands.

It looks like LMLs will only have two named modules, one with better fiting, and another with an increased ammo bin size, but the same fitting as the T1 M0 module. Both of those have a bit of a ROF buff to them (13.6s vs 16s ROF ) so the only viable option is the one with the increased ammo bin. Seriously, CCP is going to make a new must have, cause everything else kinda sucks, rebalance of the modules.

Hey at least we get to have a different name to our new meta four 1 modules, so we got that going for us.

My read is, it's part of a long-ranged effort to rename modules to names that more closely define what the module does, and to remove duplications, or modules made obsolete (sic) by game changes, or newer modules.

I'm actually not fond of the name changes. It's nice to have some flavor in the game, and it shouldn't be too hard to just pick a handful of named modules in each group to "save" and simply make that particular module the 'bonus to range/reduction in cap use/whatever' version.

Should we do it with ships next? I mean, how the hell am I supposed to know that a "Vexor" is a drone cruiser? I mean sure I could click the information button and find out but what is this, a slave labor camp?

The only fit I am having a hard time with is daisy chain, Guardian that relied on Solace repairs.

The T2 will take too much PG and CPU and the best case scenario I could fit was a loss of 20% repairs.

If a cap transfer meta version is offered that has a massive reduction to cpu, there might be a way to hold repair options and still fill the meds and lows but it would need to be a massive cpu reduction.
