50% of all threads get locked... Wasn't EVE all about freedom?

I don't get it.

In-game:


  • Do whatever you want.
  • Say whatever you want.
  • Scam whoever you want.


On forums:


  • Say one thing that ISD/CCP believe could potentially PUBLICLY harm the image of the game, even when in 90% of cases it doesn't
  • Thread gets closed based on invoking some vague forum rule


And I am not talking about my threads only.

Look at every page of general forum... HALF the threads are freaking locked. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Never witnessed this is any other game. Especially does not belong in a game that is supposedly all about FREEDOM.

No troll, stating the freaking facts and if you gonna troll on this OP then **** off... serious replies only. Think about it. WHY THE HELL should EVE, of all games, have such super strict forum policies?

There is a difference between a forum providing a reasonably free space to voice your opinions and expecting that forum to be an advocacy platform for ignorance and poor trolling.

You apparently don't get the distinction.

Hi welcome to ameri-I mean CCP where you are free*.

*Only during weekends between 10 am to 1 pm with consent from the police and a permit. Permit costs 20 plex and no littering during freedom time. Freedom time is only applicable on a specific location and cannot have more than 10 person together at once.

It's worse than that. If a group doesn't like what you have to say, they will break all sorts of rules in the thread and the most likely result in the thread locked.
