[Oceanus] Burner Missions - Round 2

Weird things going on....
All Burner except the Jaguar warp in at 40km, i guess to make kiting viable. Short Version, forget any LML Garmur or Hawk setups either DPS is too low or sig too big. Long range Rocket, Rail and Pulse+Scorch setups work on the Vengeance, Hawk and the Enyo is again the odd one out, the Enyo Logis just seems to have taken drugs.
The LML setups were obviously MWD all other has to be AB. AB setups aren't that difficult thanks to the stats from jackudza, make sure your AB speed is higher than the Burner you are fighting, set keep at range for your highest DPS, adjust your speed manually to match the Burner speed to avoid fubars.
This kind of AB kiting is like set everything up, go afk, come back 5mins later....

Edit:
Make sure your optimal DPS is at least 20km, better something in the range of 26km for Rail and Pulse+Scorch, because of tracking etc. Rocket setups are ok with about 22km range as you burn away and the NPC following you.

I'll try this later on but I very strongly suspect that having all of the NPCs start at 40 km is going to make these far too easy:

Works vs any Burner except the Jaguar, AB speed is 835 m/s, with an A-Type 924 m/s. Works best of course vs Vengeance and Enyo, Hawk is easiest to kill with a Retribution.

Tried already but with 2 target painters + burst aerator. Burnes became easier for kiting fits but harder for dps fits. As a result killing time increased from ~2:45 to more than 5 minutes. Sad. For example previously I was able to kill Enyo Burner with close range high dps T2 fitted Wolf and now it is not so simple. Vengeance Burner was killed the same way. Do not want to loose time to kill all logistics with low dps long range weapons.
CCP Fozzie please revert the changes back. It should be a trap with axe fight and not booooring no-brain-keep-at-range kiting.

I have to say, I only tried the hawk one, but I enjoyed them much much much more than the first round of burner missions.

The NPCs seem to cheat much less, because their power is divided in three, and I feel like the fight taking more time let you enjoy more the strategic side of it.

It still feels "wrong" though to put these missions into the lv4 common pool, because, again, what they require is far from being what the rest of lv4 require.

Thus I'm still in favor of finding a way to put these missions on specific agents or something like that. And again, if its the fear that player might "exploit" these missions to get better rewards... Then the problem comes from their reward balancing, not the players. Big smile

But the sheer fact of having this round 2 take more time to run than the round 1, should probably ease the concerns and maybe make the fact of having them on a separate pool a viable idea.

Is it correct that only the combat ship has a bounty? or should the logi frigs have a small bounty aswell ?

Noticed the combat ships have started dropping loot :p
