[Oceanus] Interdictor Updates

Eris still needs 3 mids and 3 lows instead of 2 and 4 I think to be competitive. It can't brawl since it can't use scram/web and it can't really kite either due to fitting issues.

On this toon i trained missiles first, mainly because i liked the cool animation that rockets / missiles have.Cool

Everybody told me missiles suck for PvP, train turrets, but i did not listen as i wanted a Missile spewing pilot.

Since then every second release seems to effect missiles in a negative way, even if not intended (RLML)

it just seems to me like:

Drake broken ..... nerf missiles, tengu broken nerf missiles ... wait what.. tengu can use light missiles now as only viable launcher system?.... okay nerf missiles ..... tengu now uses rails (job done) crow OP ..... errrm nerf da missiles.

Please don't mess with light missiles. Frigates are supposed to die quickly because they are inexpensive. The meta game of eve already Permits to many frigates to be viable and light missiles are the only viable counter right now.

I Must say, I am not too sure about the ROF change to the Eris. As somebody that flys a HULLTANKED Eris in lowSec a lot (Not trolling Go look at my killsboards at zKill). That 5% to damage is very important to me, It is what gives me the chance to kill something when I finally get in range before I explode. It's the amount of alpha striking with blasters when I do get in range that makes this work. Now if you change that 5% damage to 5% ROF, That means I have less alpha striking and have to do more shots on the target for it to die. This means I have even less time to kill something, Because we all know blasters have poor range projection. So I would ask that you don't change that. Also I would love a Mid slot, Or and some more HULL hitpoints please ;-) But I can live with out it lol

The ROF 'bonus' also means that if you turn on the heat on your guns, you are doing it wrong..

I like those thanges, the Eris and Flycatcher were pretty bad.


On another subject, how many years do we have to wait for a properly balanced HAC lineup ?
They need another pass for Oceanus rather than for the next'next update.

warping in bubbles to aggress was unintuitive and obscure. however the issue of dictors on an npc null station really needs to be looked at

The Eris is in a odd place. I've pushed that thing up to 10k in hit points and got a full rack of 75 rails on it. Even dual propped it. Dps is anemic though for any non at 0 brawler. The potential is there though. I'd probably feel better if it got a boost to its afterburner (similar to the cruor). That'd make its blaster version a pwnmobile though. Overall, if it had the ability to fit 125 rails it'd be good.

is is really -50 K mass for one and -5 K for the other?


Those numbers are significant but not totally weird, as it'll bring Eris to 1200t and Heretic to 1300t.

Pirate frigates are not so cheap. Specially one properly fit that cost over 150 M isk

So.... which Null sec entity cried hard enough for CCP to resume the missile nerfs? Oceanus looks to me like Null sec batphoned their pocker-Devs and now everyone else has to deal with it.
Also, stop screwing with missiles already!! What is it with you people and your hate boner for missiles?

You caught me, guess I'll go back to my bridge and stop questioning why CCP decided to nerf an entire weapon system with that 6% RoF reduction.

CCP Fozzie "rebalances" by buffing drones and nerfing missiles.
CCP Rise just screws things up royally (I'm honestly surprised he's allowed near cutlery…).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
