D-Scan Hotkey - Why not?

Since D-Scan is such a fundamental intelligence tool, I really do not see a good reason not to have the option to assign its [SCAN] function a hotkey. This is not the same as an automated refresh, and I think would help many players old & new (such as myself) adopt the tool with more ease. Everyone has a different UI setup generally based on their screen real estate. I've seen a few ppl here and there stop playing because a) they're new b) didnt see the value of an interface they had to manually interact with at the same time as dealing with everything else going on at the same time

Please understand - I'm not fostering the age old argument that EVE is noob-unfriendly. But I do think that certain contexts can build up to equal a better all around user experience. And that is what keeps players and attracts new ones.

Anywho, just my two cents.

Fly well!

After you hit scan you can use enter. However as for an actual hot key no if you a updating d scan then you shouldn't be able to do anything else. if you do anything else you should become vulnerable.

Which is pretty much my entire point. I'm talking about defensive D-Scan, as opposed to offensive...
