I really liked the idea of a "QotD" sort of tradition in GD so I thought I'd post the next one, even though it's not really daily, but the other one's on page 3 now so I feel like it's time for a new one.

The question I'm thinking is, of all the little things in EVE, which one gladdens you the most? Or maybe it's missing something that you're happy isn't there.

For me, personally, I'm glad that the game doesn't give you the option to to switch between miles and kilometres, enforcing a consistent measurement system for everyone. Can you imagine how complicated some fleet ops would be with people calling miles instead of kilometres on coms?

"Warp to 60, warp to 60..... okay, who's the nobbit that just warped to 40? That's way too close, and now you're dead"

"But.... I warped to 60!!"

"MILES DUDE!! Sheesh, do you even Murica?"

EDIT: also, shameless plug

Yours.

*cough*

That was mean. -.-'

Good question though...
One of the little things I started to love was the AutoWarp&Jump button.
I don't even remember the rest...

I'm quite pleased that an inexpensive T1 frigate and cloak can be used as a litmus test to determine just how 1337 a group of players are, vs, how 1337 they claim to be.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

But seriously, is this gonna get a discussion about what little things you like in EVE (or things that aren't in EVE) or do you just wanna bicker about imperial vs metric? Cuz.... I can change the title if you want.

Kinda wasn't my intent though.....

Oh yeah? Well.. they spelled "ton" wrong!! Lol

EDIT: yeah ok man, dont wanna derail your thread. Hmm, lemme think...

The "inverse selection" option is very handy, and I've not seen it in other games I play
The game uses typical Windows functions like holding ctrl to pick multiple items ,and using shift to "drag the highlighter"
The map has untold multitudes of info and great uses which sadly arent documented.

I'll think of more later Big smile

The way I see it, the Imperial system suits English speakers perfectly.

We already have a maddeningly and needlessly complicated language as it is, so why not just stick with the trend and make measurement conversions maddeningly complicated as well?

More complication directly correlates to more fun, naturally.

Playing by paying with time invested ingame,

Oh I know more!

The highlighting of ones own market orders!
And the ability to now change it directly in the market window!

And that one can simply drag fittings into the quickbar!
