Go on and don't mind me.

All you'll find is that you can't do as much as you used to.

If you got a character that has a fair few sp trained you're better off sticking with it.

Nothing to stop you training an alt, if you have more than 1 account or spare PLEX. But I suspect you would get bored quick if it's just to experience the start again. You can't play the game again like when it was new to you.

I completely disagree. Starting new characters lets me do more than I can ever do with my main(s). I am a longstanding member of a nullsec alliance. Occasionally I want to do some pirating, ransoming and less-than-savory activities, but that would absolutely ruin the reputation (and incoming ISK) with my mains. So, another character was born.

Fast forward, I wanted to try some suicide ganking, but didn't want to use my pirate, as training up a catalyst would throw off his skill plan. Another character was born. If I were to do any of those things with my mains, I would risk either upsetting my corp/alliance or inviting aggression against my corp or alliance.

The metagame and political limitations of older characters is what drives new alts, not pure number of skillpoints.

Yeah, but you're talking about alts, which is a completely different thing as you've always got your main/s to fall back on if you've started getting bored.

If the op was talking about alts then there would have been no reason to have started the thread in the first place.

Youre not even funny,
but I guess I can expect even less from you?

Show me how low you can go ...

I did it with this account, after a butthurt carebear doxxed me a while back.

But then I doubt you want to move halfway across the country and change your name. But it's still totally possible to do in game.

For some of us starting new is part of the game.
The exhilaration of interacting with mortal enemies on friendly terms is quite addictive.
I've even changed my mind about other players by doing this.

Starting new alts is one thing, but starting over entirely from scratch is another. This game just isn't as reroll friendly as other MMOs. I already did it once, never again. Waiting for those skills to train again is sooo much fun...

When did the OP ever say he wanted to stop training his current character?

The likelihood is, he has one account and doesn't want to PLEX train a second character. So he doesn't have to biomass the character but it wouldn't be training.

How do I arrive at that conclusion, easy because there would be no reason to start the thread if it was just starting an alt.

I started training a new character so I can train her to battleship level 5.

The reason is this character has 120 mil skill points & evemon says I will not be able to train battleship level 5 on her until I reach 200 mil skill points.

So I thought it would be faster to start a new character.

There is another possibility although he would have been better off referring to an alt rather that to start anew if that was the intent.

The thread was just designed to try and find people that would be interested in starting with him.

Most of those lesser threads tend just to be troll threads, op doesn't strike me as being one of them.

You mean like rolling a new class in other MMOs out there?

I would advise to reach the cap level with your main before doing that...
