What is easier in your experience going from 1 bil to 10 bil or from 10 bil to 100 bil?

And what is the average timeframe for both?

Someone once told me that it takes a month to go from 200m to 1b. Then in another thread someone said it took 1 year to go to 50b, so i'd assume 1,5 years of active trading and/or other profitable activities. And by what is easier, you have to clarify.

I suppose time to achieve either one could be the standard for difficulty. Problems with motivation, lack of necessary knowledge and so on all contribute after all.

I need some clarification. Are you talking about 100B liquid? Or net worth? You do realize the 100B sitting in your wallet earns less than 1M invested right?

90% of of the time my posts are about something I actually find interesting and want to learn more about. Do not be alarmed.

10-100 is harder. Now theoretically it should be the same or even less because you can make larger moves with a bankroll of 10 than you could with 1. But practically you realize you can afford very expensive habits. Like a character with stats it would take you years to get...

But then again, there's still a limit on volume and market orders.

There really isn't an answer to this. It's obviously going to vary from trader to trader based on a ton of variables.

How do they trade? How active are they? If you try to station trade in Jita and only update orders once a week, you won't be nearly as successful if you put in the time to station trade properly or found a trading method that matched the casual play style. Do they stay focused on the goal of 100B or develop a taste for fancy ships and modules once the cash flow really gets going? Any big scores off of speculation or do you get there by just cycling isk through a reliable low margin trading method?

It varies for lots of reasons. That's the only realistic answer.

I can give you a time frame for how 10 bil can potentially turn into 1 bil.Cool

It's trading, after all. There's no such thing as time frame for growth.

1 to 10 Billion is much easier. In order to leverage your isk from 10 to 100 billion you will find yourself investing in less profitable ventures, comparitively, than when you had to be choosier due to having less funds available.

This doesn't even take into account player fatigue. Your average frig to normal carrier pilot, once they hit 20 - 30 billion isk, is pretty 'rich' for what they fly. If you're not flying super caps, making isk becomes a lot less important and not worth the grind.

1-10 bill is the most painful of the lot.

100-1 billion was allot of fun for me actually.

10-100.... a whole different ballgame that takes quite a bit of planning (from what I gather)
