As a Mac user, I'm fairly stoked about the changes to Cider - so that alone is worth a release. The graphical overhaul and under the hood changes will eventually lead to a level of ship customization that everyone has been clamouring for. Expanded PvE content is always a welcome addition and module tiercide is long overdue - so I'm glad to see this begin in earnest.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

With 6 weeks gaps, i get that each 'expansion' will be a small content patch, but this is seriously a joke.

I question what someone like RISE does on a regular basis. Since the pirate ship rebalance, what has he been working on? Day to day, what precisely is he spending his 'development' time on? As one of the key people attached to Ship balance/Tiericide, its very disconcerting to see the trickle of tweaks in the past 2-3 months.

As many here have already posted, whats happened to Recon and T3 rebalance, Blops rebalance?

And seriously, enough with Game of Drones. Who disagrees that droneboats are dominating the meta?
- Vexor vs all T1 Cruisers. VNI vs all Navy Cruisers. Ishtar vs all HACs. Gila vs all Pirate Cruisers: Please spot the theme.

Instead of tweaks, I'd really rather see them roll out a new drone-specific Ewar.

It's better for immersion too. Instead of the story being "They decided to stop making their ships strong", it's "they invented a new drone killer Ewar device."

The device could be Minmatar, since they don't really have any good Ewar at present.

Quote:

Ashimmu vs Gila is a near 3.5x price difference as of right now. Bring SOME semblance of parity.

The irony is that Gila prints are even more expensive than Rattlesnake prints. Who knows why?

Not sure if I like the availability of French as a language for the client.

Even though I'm French myself, I like the accuracy and non-ambiguity of English technical terms.
French is arguably a better suited language than English for, say, litterature. But it's indeniably much worse for technical stuff. And it usually causes problems in video games. (Wanna know what a skill or item actually does? check the English description).

Also most French can be quite chauvinistic and are not comfortable with their English (mostly because of protectionism from the government, e.g movies are dubbed, there are imposed ratios for French songs on the radio so it's not all UK/US stuff, etc..).

So, kinda like how Russian is present everywhere in Eve today, you're gonna start seeing more and more people speaking French in local chat and other public channels, and they'll probably tell you to fo f*** yourself if you ask them to speak English.

After Oceanus, I'm also afraid I'll hear stuff like "Perturbateurs d'Hyper-Espace" on comms, when it's always been "Warp Disruptor" or even just "point". Roll

We need the French so there will be somebody easy to beat up on.

All jokes aside, I think anytime EVE can expand it's potential subscriber base this has to be looked at a plus.

Well inties could use a probing bonus, i see they are used lately as exploration ships Lol
All other visual effects, are not usable anyway with tactical overview on, and zoomed out its only a black screen
with squares and crosses. Maybe if the new cloak effect would have a forced drag in and rotation camera movement!

You want different music, then run your own player in the background. There, problem solved. You have your own jukebox that CCP doesn't have to keep up to date, or backwards compatable with your operating system, !!"

I joined Eve in 2004 BECAUSE of the music. Yes, I know most of you want to listen to cranked techno and mind-altering dubstep. But the soft nebulous ambient music sets a psychological space that enhances the spacey effect.

I would love to have new music (maybe one or two new ones) with each release. And, the ability to either mark favorites or manage a playlist. I want to select, at my choice, which song is playing.

I like that the music changes to an exciting hard rock driving sound when I warp into a mission. That's great and should remain automatic.

If people want to listen to non-eve music, they can use any player out of the game. But let us select Eve music somehow, and keep adding new music. Oh, and maybe a randomizer.

Thanks.

Updated wormhole nebulae? Sweet!

If CCP knows the position of the wormhole systems maybe they can add dynamic nebulae similar to what we got going on in New Eden. That would be cool.

Also, CCPlz can you provide us with a list of all the assets that you updated in Hyperion? I can't seem to find anything that changed visually.

My Flycatcher Interdictor is stuck in it's own bubbles. And the interceptors keep escaping.

Anything over the size of a destroyer can crush my Interdictor in a moment.

The 'ceptors fly faster, quicker and more than my Interdictor, and I am not happy.

I need an interceptor kill ship of some type please, perhaps some kind of interdictor will be fine, dunno, it's not working for me.I'm off to the pub. Telling my mates, and it's me they laugh at. And that's someone fault.

Raptor needs some love, Crow and Malediction need to be beaten with the nerf bat until they stop moving.

I was thinking of an Interceptor Interdictor Bubble Module, It could be fitted to the Interdictor and used to Interdict Interceptor class vessels only, then I can shoot them again.

Let them fly as fast as light, I only one shot anyhow.

There is good reason to balance the different Interceptors, but whatever you do please do not remove their immunity to non-targeted interdiction. There needs to be one way to travel through null-sec. The killboards are already full of gatecampers; they get their share anyways.

So basically this update is, for the most part, useless. So sad that you people waste your time on things that the consumers care nothing about. Thanks CCP!

Thx so much CCP lawyer for your input, but we are hearing this "stuff going on in the background" for more than year.

Did anyone consider:

A) more people fly inty's?
B) they possibly are working on the T2/3 cruisers but it's taking longer than expected to get it right.

At the end of the day there are always going to be those who whinge and whine over every release, "oh, my ship used to pwn everyone now it's nerfed so it only kills 75%" or "oh I use to make trillions now I only make hundreds of billions". The updates aren't to everyones taste, especially the older account holders who think they have devine right to have the game their way.

A) capsuleers fly ceptors for two reason, haul light-weight stuff and quick trip to trade hubs or cheaper any other frigate class except t1 variant.. if you think ceptors OP, eve is easy - tormentor

B) yes thats right, it will take longer than anyone expected, cos even they couldnt finish ceptor tweaking..

Sounds like another dry, barren, boring expansion with still no new content added to the game...
