Balancing of Interceptors and Interdictors !

So how many patches you need to balance them?
When you boosted them to hell, especially with this epic warp acceleration system and bubble immunity, you didnt see any problem... in what exactly is a bubble useful today anyway?
I sense by this 'balancing' you mean NERF this time.

Glad to see you're continiuing to expand on burner missions but baffled as to why you're revisiting inties and dictors before working on rebalancing recons and strategic cruisers at the very least.

My guess is the other ships tweeks are not ready yet. So its not shipped. And they see something in there metrics hat is a glaring imbalance or under performing tweek they made, so its easier to tweek a tweek then to do a full realign. Which is why its prolly taking a bit for recons and the like.

So basically this update is, for the most part, useless. So sad that you people waste your time on things that the consumers care nothing about. Thanks CCP!

It's not rocket science.

Old model: 2 releases per year, 6 months of development time between releases. Features were generally either 1) crammed in to fit a 6 month deadline or 2) finished long before the deadline and included when the release hit. Perhaps some very large changes took a year to develop and spanned a full release.

New model: Roughly 10 releases per year, 5 weeks of time between releases. Features that are ready release as soon as they are done. Features that take 6 months (or a year) could see *five* or more releases go by before they hit.

Nothing changes about how long it takes to develop large scale changes. The difference now is you don't have to wait 6 months for a feature that is finished just after a 2 cycle release hits, you get it 5 weeks later. And now in the five or so releases between major features, you get a multitude of little things that before would have waited for the next major release.

Congratulations for diminishing the contributions of the graphical developers and sound engineers and UI experts at CCP who work to bring these "useless" things to EVE to keep it fresh. I, for one, am appreciative of the fact that their work gets to us faster and more often making the everyday experience of EVE richer while other teams work on the expansive features that take much longer to see the light of day.

10 mini expansions per year is not for you dude, it is for DEV, to tweak often things where they screwd.. like ceptors re-balance, again.. i hate things are tweaked so often.. TL;DR: new system for clumsy and inexperienced developers, so it will give them time till they get enough experience like who left from core team in years..

Greetins young one, and by young you are a baby in eve terms (based on your employment history) As was said already, the dev work is not changed, just how often stuff is released. You were not around through a lot of the garbase releases we had, which mostly consisted of 'Hey we have this great thing coming and it does this 5 thing... no wait, no time does these 4.. no 3... no 2... no this one thing! but it will be amazing and we will come back and finish the other 4 things we had to strip due to time contraints soon(tm) but enjoy this new thing... OH SHINEY! Hey guys, this next new thing will have 5.. no 4.. etc"

Now its:

We have this thing we are working it, it will have these 5 features, and will be released in a year. Stay tuned.

In theory they can finish stuff to completion, and any smaller things can go in right now, and not wait for 6 months and go 'oh.. that won't work with this other small change that was done a month ago, yea sorry kill that'

Anyway not a bad expansion, and it leaves room for some nice announcements at eve vegas.

Named Module updates

In the first set of changes to a long term initiative to make sure rare and advanced modules are useful and “make sense”, Oceanus will bring updates to Capacitor Flux Coils, Survey Scanners, Cargo Scanners, Ship Scanners, Reactor Controls, Co-Processors and Micro Auxiliary Power Cores. The whole initiative, similar to the long running ship balancing project, will be presented in an upcoming dev blog.

Finally! I've been looking forward to this! This could potentially shake up fitting options a lot.

I want to welcome the impending surge of French users to the game, but I also really want to make some jokes about French localization already being on "Sisi".

Or is the best welcome to troll them mercilessly already, in true Eve fashion?

I really do like additional language support... it can only help the game grow.

With 6 weeks gaps, i get that each 'expansion' will be a small content patch, but this is seriously a joke.

I question what someone like RISE does on a regular basis. Since the pirate ship rebalance, what has he been working on? Day to day, what precisely is he spending his 'development' time on? As one of the key people attached to Ship balance/Tiericide, its very disconcerting to see the trickle of tweaks in the past 2-3 months.

As many here have already posted, whats happened to Recon and T3 rebalance, Blops rebalance?

And seriously, enough with Game of Drones. Who disagrees that droneboats are dominating the meta?
- Vexor vs all T1 Cruisers. VNI vs all Navy Cruisers. Ishtar vs all HACs. Gila vs all Pirate Cruisers: Please spot the theme.
- Why arent they talking about Autocannons.
- Why arent they talking about the near extinct Battlecruiser class (in lowsec - 1 simple change, make MMJDs/MJDs add a little to ship's warp speed. Will make them bearable to fly around space)
- How mega trash HMLs are.
- How useless majority of Caldari ships are, across the board ..

Ashimmu vs Gila is a near 3.5x price difference as of right now. Bring SOME semblance of parity.

Also, if someone is reading this, Serpentis non-DED 6/10 equivalent is psycho hardmode relative to Gurista 6/10, which isnt just cotton candy easy, but also has a better drop chance (cause, Gila!). Please tweak the 'Serpentis Logistical Outpost', even if you make it like the Angel non-DED 6/10 equivalent one (Hashi, which is also relatively speaking, very hard).

Sorry, but what is "TTP"?

even if we can't have our own designs, they need to put out better designs..

Previews in the New Eden Store

The New Eden Store gets 3D previews of the items on sale, including the ability to see apparel on your own characters.

Personally, I'd prefer they open the store first. While the background, store logo, and font has changed, the 'Store currently unavailable' bit has gotten a bit old. Seriously, the store has been unavailable for over a year...maybe CCP should consider, oh, i dunno, opening it?

So long, and thanks for all the isk.

maybe because they need just some trivial tweak to balance between them while recons need a lot of love (thus work) and t3 are a nightmare to balance.

after all the times it has been repeated, you still dont get how this work, right?
well, I'll try to explain it with really simple sentencies and small words:
6 weeks releases, long time projects.
if something is ready, they release.
if something need more time, they will release later.
they still do long projects that require more than 6 weeks, not everything that is worked on need to be released at the end of 6 week cycle.
