Lets not forget the other 9/11 that impacted this community directlySad

And those who didn't impacted any U.S. American... directly.

"Workers of my country, I have faith in Chile and its destiny. Other men will overcome this dark and bitter moment when treason seeks to prevail. Keep in mind that, much sooner than later, the great avenues will again be opened through which will pass free men to construct a better society. Long live Chile! Long live the people! Long live the workers!" -Salvador Guillermo Allende Gossens (President), La Moneda palace, Santiago de Chile, September 11th 1973.

the only thing I find a little "odd" about this catastrophe is the fact that the bbc announced that one of the buildings had come down ...when video evidence of that time actually showed that it was still standing ...then ..minuetes later it then fell ....are bbc journalists clairvoyant ?

They're human. Human make mistakes. They also produce large amounts of stupidity, a fact which only can be appreciated in a universe mostly devoid of humour and intelligence.

not a conspiracy nut .... but just seems strange to me that they announced the specific building had fallen ...when in actual fact it was still standing .......then bam ...its down ...there is video evidence to prove this ........ not saying alex jones nut job theorys ..though I do enjoy watching them for the comedy value ...... I sometimes wonder if alex jones sleeps in the wardrobe at night ..."in case THEY come for him" Roll

There is nothing I can add to this that hasn't already been written a million times before.

So just a salute in remembrance

i was in the 5th grade at the time, but had the day off (can't remember why)
i was at my aunts house when the planes hit, and i remember not knowing what was going on but couldn't look away from the T.V.

all of these years later, and one of the main reasons i joined the military is to stop this from happening again.

I was in high-school. I woke up to my mother knocking on my bedroom door, saying something about 'buildings' or 'towers', I was half-asleep and couldn't hear well.

When I got on the bus, the radio stations were talking about the World Trade Center. The televisions in the lobby were on, and everyone was either talking about it or avoiding talking about it.

I got home, sat down in front of my computer, and didn't disconnect until I'd heard from every single one of my friends in the new York area.
