Just had to state that this day will always affect my life. I was on the A-C-E when it happened. Walked across the bridge later that night after being asked to assist as being employed at the time as an EMS. Pivotal moment in my memories.

I remember it too. I was sick that day and home from school. Was playing baldurs gate 2 when my dad came in saying a plane had hit the WTC, having heard it on the radio. I figured it was a light aircraft. Went to the living room. Turned on sky news and watched the lot.

That memory is going to stay with me forever.

We (being the people in the subway) were informed there was a 'mechanical problem' and would have to walk. Once we got to an exit, we sort of realized what was going on. It took many more hours for it to fully sink in.

I remember being glued to the TV and having an argument with a fellow student about whether the buildings could collapse or not and why the third building(in NY) was destroyed when no plane even hit it and it looked structually intact. I won the collapse argument, although my reasoning wasn't correct. Still don't understand why the extra building needed to be demolished and hardly anyone even mentioned it later on. People just seem to remember or care about the twin towers.

Please really. Can we at least attempt to keep this civil.

Third building was hit by debris and was condemned. As being there post collapse, trust me, it was.

I was in 9th grade. Basically only been back to school like what? A week? Teacher came in and spoke to our teacher. He said something had happened in NY. Business as usual for a bit longer. Then that teacher came back again and they turned our TV on. That is how pretty much of the day went. Just watching television.

I'll never forget all the papers floating. It was beautiful and surreal in a way. If you could tune out all the other sensory information.

Was driving into work and listening to the radio.

The air talent stopped in what he was talking about and started describing what was going on. I was blown away...

Got to work in time to see the second aircraft hit.

Thats not what the guy who held the lease said. He said very clearly that the order was given to "pull it."

Not going into this stuff today. Read the report Structural damage. No water, on fire. No longer touching this subject. Next you'll mention something about Vile Rat's death being faked since it also happened on this day.

I was sick at home with influenza.
Got out of bed the first time in the afternoon, turned on the TV and saw the WTC collapsing.
My first thought was : "What lousy special effects, this movie sucks..."

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Being underground for the large part of it (MTA shut down) I wasn't privy to anything initially until I made the crawl out around 15th. (I think, exit area isn't something I wanted to really remember) but yeah basically was in shock once I was able to get a visual on it.

I was in my bedroom, watching a comedy show on the TV. It finished and I tuned on a channel giving News, and the talking heads speaking about a fire going on at WTC in New York after an airplane had crashed on one of the buildings. I went to the living room and told my parents and my sister to "tune on the News if they wanted to see a fire on the WTC, as an airplane had crashed on it". We were surfing channels, looking for more details, and found a channel with a live feed from the WTC. Then simultaneously, the second tower exploded and the talking head shouted in horror, "Another airplane! Oh god it's an attack, a second airplane has crashed on the WTC!" Then they hooked a replay and I could see an opposite angle, with just the airplane entering the other side of the building. I saw the tail and thought "that's a Boeing, maybe a 737..." and told my family, "That was an airliner, a Boeing 737 minimum, so maybe 200 people have died in that crash... what sh*t!".

September 11 is a holiday here where I live, and so we spent all evening watching the news. I recall seeing live how the second tower collapsed, and have a vivid memory of all those large chunks of structure tumbling and rolling in the air and falling into the dust clouds. How it bloody disintegrated. When the first tower collapsed, we just couldn't any more, we were emotionally exhausted, and I feared what would the USA do, and to whom, after that.

Same as Random... was driving into work, just pulling into the parking lot. I broke the news to the other people in the office.

Then the next one hit...

Then the Pentagon was hit...

Then people jumping from the fire, and the first tower collapses...

Then Flight 93 is discovered down ("Let's roll.") in Pennsylvania, likely headed for the White House.

We gathered in small groups, refreshing web pages, watching news feeds. A terrible day.

eve related tinfoilhatting is one thing, however when regarding a human tragedy (which it was irrespective of anything els) its extremely disrespectful and counter-productive to the aims of those people effected.

STFU.

You're right. When the govenrment tells you that there's been a heavy snowfall in Minnesota, you should really mistrust it. And grab your guns if they as much as claim that the aforementioned snow is white. Roll
