Anyone who isn't doom and gloom about this doesn't realize just how important having such a talented programer who knows all of the legacy code is. It is genuinely terrible news that he's leaving and I don't think he can be replaced.

Veritas, you put up with us for over four years and still managed to get some good content into the game.

CCP Tuxford is going to be better with legacy code, he's been around twice as long. CCP Veritas had a vision for the future and knew exactly how to get there.

I have thought this about a couple of different people that have left companies I have worked for, guess what, all of the companies survived just fine. Was it harder? Were those people the types that could not be replaced? Sure, but you adapt and move on.
