Locating Kazka Blockade Deadspace Complex

According to the Jowen Datloran guide this complex is required for the Caldari COSMOS chain, specifically the 3rd mission from Hotaru Ahti in Otomainen. He says it is near Otomainen XI and never de or re-spawns, but can only be scanned down via probe.

I have been scanning this system and searching for a week, and I have every signature bookmarked and simply cannot get another signature to appear (let alone one near planet XI).

The weird thing is the complexes in here change quickly... maybe I'm just new to this, but several of the sigs I bm'd last week are gone and new ones (such as Guristas Den etc.) appeared overnight.

Another factor is that the system is heavily camped with loot snatchers and pirates, and I'm wondering if something like a White Noise Generator Battery could block the signature... can other players sabotage mission locations on scan?

Is it possible for a complex to give no signal whatsoever at a certain skill level and at the next it's immediately scannable? I thought the skills were for efficiency...

Well, the CCP employee who said that might not realize there's a problem with the hidden Cosmos sites that need to be scanned down. Someone else posted a thread recently called 'Purging Ani' which listed the same problem.

I have max scanning skills with top of the line equipment so I decided to check it out and sure enough the hidden Cosmos sites didn't show up. Luckily I already had the sites bookmarked and out of the 5 sites there, only 4 was still active.

Anyway, the Agent : Hotaru Ahti is requesting 1x Pata Wakiro's DNA (0.1 m3) to complete the mission : Hotaru's Dilemma - Break The Blockade (3 of 4).

That item can be bought from Public Contracts for an easy option to complete the mission, especially since the clock / timer is ticking on the mission offer.

As for the other signatures like Guristas Den that you scanned down, those are just regular Exploration sites that are listed in Evelopedia which have nothing to do with Cosmos missions.

I'll check my Bookmarks and see what I have available for that system. Over the past few years since I've done Cosmos, some of the sites have been changed / relocated to different areas.

Definitely need to contact CCP again asap via Support Ticket - Character stuck - Mission in progress - and have the mission item spawned or have the mission reset due to the hidden Cosmos sites being bugged. If the answer is no, politely request to have the Support Ticket forwarded to a Senior Game Master.

CCP can easily check it out themselves just by logging into the system and do a quick scan.. Hopefully other players can verify that there is indeed a bug with those sites.

OK, I just scanned Otomainen System. Had 7 Cosmic Anomalies and 1 Cosmic Signature (Wormhole showing after 30% signal strength?)

None of those Exploration sites are related to Cosmos.

I have max level scanning skills with a 6% increased scan strength Hardwiring implant using Sisters launcher and probes in a scan bonused T3 Cruiser which gives me a base sensor strength of 120.2 points.

I checked my bookmarks and the only hidden Cosmos site in Otomainen system is the Kazka Blockade ( Beacon ). I warped to it and did another scan right on top of it, still nothing showing in scanner box.

So yeah, the hidden Cosmos sites are definitely bugged. That CCP employee needs to start doing some research and investigate the issue first before quickly responding with an incorrect generic reply.

I'd request a mission reset due to that employee being lazy and incompetent. Also be a good idea to file a Bug Report.

The good news is the site is still active. I've created a personal contract to you containing that Bookmark.

Thank you very much mate! I will follow up with the ticket... it's not fair for people to tear their hair out for a week before realizing "oh snap" it's just not going to work.

FOLLOW UP:

I went back with the bookmark and sure enough there's a gate right on top of Otomainen XI surrounded by guristas outlaws and the like (though out of slow-boat range of anything).

CCP responds in closing that we should "discuss" this on the forums.

I agree, though I feel for the sake of every single future player intending to complete the COSMOS chain, that the devs should simply make this gate scannable. It is a flat out bug, and somewhat unfair that players must reach out on the forums to make an NPC mission possible.

I have also been having this issue.

I submitted both a bug as well as a support ticket.

The player Babell Brox was having this problem at the same time as me so CCP got a cluster of tickets and hopefully they realize this is a global problem.

Senior GM Arcade issued the mission item to us directly and when I asked about the other sites that fall into the same category the response was:

Unfortunately until you accept the mission and attempt to scan for the sites we are unable to know if you are affected by the issue. If you can not find the sites after accepting the mission and scanning for some time then please get in touch.
