Taking care of the ISK sink issue with one stroke: won't affect carebears

So here's the idea: I have a low sec status. It's fine. I like it. Every now and again I want to go to empire for a refreshing Quaffe and pleasure hub run. Instead of using an alt, what if CONCORD would sell me a day-pass on the black market?

You buy a pass that lasts a day to a week... call it "fake ID" or something, make the rate at which pods are charged for this pass dependent on the severity of their security penalty.

I'm not going to fix my sec status. It's right where it should be. But I would buy this frickin' pass on occasion.

What would you guys say to something like that if CCP did it? Good idea or no? Would you use this?

Signatures should be used responsibly...

I doubt it would cut down on alt use, but I don't see a problem if it is just a pod coming in. Would be too many abusing it if they could fly ships in.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

You must be under the impression that a few thousand players would bother with that..

What if it was limited to ship class... say shuttles and industrial ships... would that be cool with you? I can see the abuse problem.

Yea, you'd have to have ship restrictions on this thing. Suicide gankers would go crazy for this, letting em gank all day everyday having no penalty. Have to restrict it to ship that can't fit guns or something P

I would be fine with a no weapons restriction. They could play it off like "cops don't look as hard at your id when you are unarmed."

The weapons restriction wouldn't stop a dedicated ganker because they could just buy the weapons in station, undock, and gank before CONCORD gets to them. Same applies for the ship restriction, unless it was hardcoded in that you couldn't undock with a ship with a turret/launcher hardpoint. I suppose this could be remedied by making it an exploit to do so.

I have a better idea. I can buy an "anti gank" pass from concord, and fly around low/null sec for a day a week or so and be totally immune from ganking. Call it a "I wanna pay to avoid the consequences of my playstyle" pass or something.

The "sandbox" aspect of the game is structured in such a way that you're already able to do this. Nothing prevents you from approaching sovereignty holders and offering money in exchange for freedom of movement.

Idea has merit I reckon:

10mil for -5 -> -6
20mil for -6 -> -7
30mil for -7 -> -8
40mil for -8 -> -9
50mil for -9 -> -10

in addition:
10mil for pod
20mil for frigate
30mil for cruiser
40mil for BC
50mil for BS

so a -7.5 pilot in a BS would pay 30mil + 50mil = 80 mil for concord blind eye.
or a -5.5 pilot in a pod would pay 10mil + 10mil for concord blind eye

If a pilot on a Black ID draws the attention of Concord (by aggression in empire) then concord could pod the pilot

This is a decent idea. I'd make it so that committing a GCC crime in highsec while using the pass causes the pass to be revoked, forcing them to buy another one if they need more highsec travel within that same week.

I like your addition. However, should the security status purchase be cumulative? E.g. 30m ISK for -7 to -6 + 20m ISK for -6 to -5, etc.

Besides the fact that you missed the sarcasm, I think he was asking for a full "immunity pass" not a "I'll pay you and still have to watch over my back" pass..
