Im almost skilled to fly a orca and only about 3 weeks from being able to fly a freighter. My question is is a orca good for high sec hauling now days since the changes. Safety wise is one better than the other ? whats typically the average isk number that its safe to haul in either one.

1.5 billion in the freighter when tanked, best to have a alt/corp mate in a webbing frigate.

Use the right tool for the job, It depends on the size of the load you want to move.

This is how I see it:
less than 10K BR
10K-65K DST
65K-90K Orca*
90K+ Freighter

*Carries fitted ships on top of the 90K

Like Baltec said, web freighter if you have alt/corp mate.
Setup Orca for 10 sec warps via 100MN MWD.
DST can be setup for 10 sec warps with 10MN MWD, to be safest use cloak/MWD trick.
BR can't be scanned and can warp while cloaked, do this every time to avoid Gankers playing BR roulette.

Yes, Orca is great for hauling all but the biggest of loads. Metric crap-tons of tank, too...

I prefer Blockade Runners and Orcas for their relative speed compared to DSTs and Freighters. Properly fit Orcas (100MN MWD) can align and be in warp from a standstill in 10sec, sport a massive tank, and have a good capacity, especially if you're moving ships.

I know that Freighters can get into warp very quickly with webbing support, but to me they're still just too vulnerable. Your experience may vary.

Orca is great. Super tank and 10 second align time.

If you make insta warp save spots on all the stations you use its great. You need a shitload of firepower to gank one.

Another great thing about the MWD Orca is that it's considerably harder to bump than a freighter. You accelerate faster and are into warp much sooner so any bump ships have less time to react and a harder time hitting you.

You can get an orca and a freighter to very high EHP. Both are cumbersome. It really depends on what you want to haul.

I have both and I rarely use the Orca for hauling. I primarily use the freighter for more than 13K of load, and a blockade runner for less. I use an Orca when I want to move ships. The freighter has a higher EHP than an Orca and it doesn't require activating modules (like DC) manually. The Orca is great for boosting and moving to a new base of operations. Having the Orca setup for 10 sec warp trick is really worth it and still provides ~200 EHP.
