Autoroute: Destination not selected for keyboard shortkeys

I hope, this is the right place to set my complaint. I didn't find a post in the forums about "autoroute keyboard".

When I set an autoroute and leave station or pass a gate, the next destination is highlighted yellow and displayed in the window "Selected Item". If I click without any further action at one of the icons in the "Selected Item"-Window (Approach, Warp, etc.), EVE executes the selected action.

Yet, if I press the keyboard shortcut for this action ("a" for Approach or "s" for Warp) EVE says "Click Target". So I have to find and click the highlighted destination in the overview window and cannot navigate with only keyboard.

That's very uncomfortable and - in my eyes - an error. Or is this behaviour intended?
