Observations:

It looks great, love the hexagonal texture of it. I do think it needs to be more translucent, or at least end up more translucent because a number of people on the Reddit thread are already confused as to whether it now means you will be visible to others.

Also, in this video the Chimera just abruptly vanishing looks very janky. I guess that's the perspective of someone watching someone else cloak, but either way it seems like the cloaking animation needs to be faster, and/or needs to fade the ship out for other clients or something.

This reminds me...


lately I've noticed that if I have the map on, and then cloak, then go out of map mode, the ship then starts the cloaking graphic sequence.

For this I have been paranoid. Is this just an effect? Or a bug where I don't cloak until I see it cloak? Who wants to find out the hard way? Shocked

When this is implemented I hope it's fixed. We used to be able to cloak while in map mode and hear the cloaking sound and actually appear cloak when going back to the default view.

Also, I have to agree the sudden disappearance at the end is kind of jarring. If there's a way to add in a fade to nothing, that would move the power level from awesome to EPIC.

Noticed this too. I think it's just an animation lag because I have never scared off potential WH targets with the map open.

Hey, cool, they are updating the effects to something only dated by 5 years instead of 15!


Sarcasm aside I suspect simple things like this will help retain new players.

Cool, now add Advanced Cloaking to reduce the targeting delay and i will forgive you for removing the jukebox. Maybe.
Sometimes those 5 secs feel like an age when i decloak the Falcon.
