Hi there I am new pilot for around 1.5 months in EVE.

I got some questions maybe some could help me out:

1. Is there a time ticker tip somewhere to show how much time left to activate Micro Jump Drive when it is cooling down? I moved my mouse over MJD in space but only a name shows there.

2. What would be the difference of creating a selling order in market with different length of time? e.g. 2weeks, 1month, 3months? As I noticed 'seems' the broker fee and tax looks same even time is different. Would it be better choosing 3months in most case?

3. In mission space without jump bridges sometimes I 'save location' on my cargo/MTU but when I tried 'warp to 0m' later, the ship always stopped at some kilometers away from my saved location. Is this behavior intentionally set?

4. I started to receive 'burner' type mission from agents. What would be a 'relative safer' basic threshold recommendation for me to accept this kind of mission?

Thanks a lot in advance.

3) You get warped to a random location in a sphere of radius 2500m from the location. Or, alternately, you might get warped to a beacon if one is present on grid.

2) 3 months is a sensible default. There are some situations where different lengths of time make sense (for instance, if you have goods that you expect will slowly increase in price but that you still want to sell). Broker fees and taxes are indeed unchanged.

4) They can be done, with difficulty, in an Assault Frigate with tech 2 fittings and mostly level 4-5 skills. Using pirate faction frigates, and/or upgrading T2 modules to deadspace may make them significantly easier.

IIRC, If you try to use it the error message tells you 'you cannot use this for 46 more seconds'.

1) You can click on the icon and it will give you a message about how much time is left but this also might result in you accidentally cycling it. I have no idea why CCP hasn't put a visual cooldown timer on cloaks/MJDs.

2) Time doesn't change the fees, so I usually put mine up for 3 months. At least do it for a week or so, it's annoying to have to re-up your orders after a couple of days.

3) In some mission sites I believe it is impossible to choose your own warp-in.

4) Apparently the burner missions are pretty tough so I wouldn't tackle them as a new player.

You know what I found out is a great tool to have on your desk for EVE....a stopwatch (or multiple).

Just for random timers that aren't shown on screen.

Thank you all guys for detailed answers.

Regarding MJD if I click the module to see the time left sometimes it activates the module which is not the right time I'm willing to. Is it possible to cancel the activation when it is being activated?

This is really a bit annoying. And the similar complaint like: 'why MTU does not have a 'Loot all' button while cargo hold has'Sad

nope....yeah i know ,but thats the reality of it, the devs are aware that this pisses us off though so we might see a "reload" timer in it soon.

or, for the more discerning types, an hourglass.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
