EVERYONE!

Thanks for help!

You all helped in opening my eyes to different things :)

I ended up going a bit higher than needed setup, which will also help me in playing other games than eve (THERES OTHER GAMES THAN EVE?)

Cooler Master HAF XB EVO Cube High Air Flow Case
Intel Core i7-4790K Processor
ZOTAC nvidia geforece gtx 770 4gb
ASUS atx ddr3 LGA 1150 maximus VI formula
EVGA supernova 1000 wat g1 atx power supply
samsung 840 pro series 512 gb ssd (+ exta mechanical hd for basic data)
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb ddr3 2400mhz pc3
some cooler master case fans + cooler master hyper 212 evo cpu cooler
asus 24x dvd drive
win7 home premium

i only went with 16gb for the time being since i dont think eve will use more then that (can add more down the road)

hopefully this works out well for me, my first pc buitl Ugh

Personally I would have run a AMD setup but nothing wrong and actually a nice setup ASUS regardless of what has been said here are great boards and yes the EVGA power supply will do just fine and for your first build you did good at least you didn't use a AMD video card with a intel processor you matched everything well and left room for improvement down the road so nothing wrong with the build at all

you did good

Thank you for the nice words, I tried my best to pair everything up accordingly, the rest of my parts arrive tomorrow so should be an experience.

i7 is overkill really

Also have Visual Studio, Photoshop and some apps runing
No lag or spike

Some of us only buy 1 computer every 8 years though, so getting good stuff is a good investment.

If you have a budget for high end, it's better to buy 2 mid grade PC over those 8 years than 1 high grade one. It's sad but still true.

Not really. The only thing I've replaced in this thing in the last 8 years is the graphics card. It's a lot cheaper than buying a whole new computer needlessly.

I feel bad for you. The 5th gen Intel processor comes out summer 2015.

I thought PentiumĀ® came out in 1993.

not sure what the criticism of AMD is about. it must be something personal. my rig works fine, and the bottleneck is still the graphics cards

You always get camps.

Apple v Samsung

Apple iOS v Android

Apple iOS v Windows

Apple v Microsoft

Apple v Anybody with a brain (waiting for the rage Evil)

Intel v AMD

Nvidia v ATI (AMD)

Ford v Chevy

Goons v Test

SA Forums v Reddit

The list goes on and on.

The thing is those in either camp will always swear blind the other is rubbish no matter what.

The truth is when it comes to components (Intel, AMD, Nvidia, ATI (AMD) etc there is usually very little in it and when there is a difference it is usually for a very specific task.

You really don't know much about hardware.

Samsung was the biggest supplier of components for the Iphone. Which made the whole lawsuit thing hilariously awful.

Intel and AMD use radically different core and CPU designs which result in differences in real world performance depending on the software being used. The task at hand has much less to do with performance then how the program performing the task is programmed.
