Nice thread.

I actually train muay thai, but I also train a lot of other things. Basically, I love MMA, so I train any martial art that I can. So MMA is my main sport, it's my baby.

I also love Hockey.

I'm sorry to tell you that is not how MMA works despite the name. Shocked

I'm not sure what you mean but I definitely know more about MMA than you do so I won't stress it.

Edit: I think you just misunderstood my post or I didn't make myself clear.

I don't care if you claim to know more about MMA than a person on the internet you don't even know, to make an assumption like that is stupid, I could be Bas frikin' Rutten for all you know.

All I know the comment you made echoed that of every noob that I saw coming into my gym thinking they can fight MMA because "I train loads of other martial arts".

Not hating, just explaining my comment.

Yes, of course, I just have to puff my chest out when it comes to MMA because I'm one of those douches. When I go to the gym they call me "beastin' 25 / 8" and I yell "MMA!!!!" after every workout session. You don't know who I am either but that isn't the point. You're right though because words are literally meaningless, the only thing that matters in MMA is the fight.

And yeah that's what I figured about my comment. It's my fault for not making it clear but I saw in the OP he mentioned muay thai, so the first thing I wanted to say was "hey I train that too!". The way I wrote the post kind of made me sound like a noob I guess, but I was kind of going by the assumption that most people around here wouldn't know anything about MMA anyway.

Edited this part out for no reason.

But no matter how much I like to discuss MMA, you're right that the internet is a terrible place for it, for a few reasons.

I have a couple of sports I've made up on my own, that suit me as a hardcore gamer. First, there's "The Dive." Let the floor in your room get SO covered in empty beer and vodka bottles, empty chip rappers, cigarette buts from the last 15 times you accidentally knocked over the ashtray, etc... a path from the bed to the computer is allowed, but the challenge is getting TO the bed from the bedroom door. This is "the Dive," and I must say, it can be good exercise if you find yourself running to the bathroom a lot due to the aforementioned empty bottles and whatnot.

Then there's the simple game of "Food Hoops." What with all the garbage laying all over the floor, you've got an empty waste basket, right? Well, what happens to all the bones and crusts left over from your usual dinners of hotwings or pizza? You're gonna just leave THAT stuff on the floor, right? What are we, barbarians? There's a couple of ways to go about this, if it's Pizza Night I tend to just chuck the individual crusts as I finish each slice. Chicken bones, however, I prefer to pile up in the one clear spot on my desk. Once you have a suitable pile, aim for that trashcan! If u miss, well, you can always take care of it at another time.

I play a lot of Airsoft, got myself a very nice collection now, A Mk46, L96, a heavily modified M14 scout, with the SOCOM rail system, new spring, gears, motor DMR type set up with a nice little real steel scope, I also have a HK G36, which I wouldn't suggest, the integrated scope is impossible to sight in. I also got a ARES Tavor for cheap and it's a very fun little thing.

Every time I see the news casters on sports channels I hope I don't end up like that.
