How it comes, that if we need fuel for POS, why there is no fuel for our ships? I know, it basically works like you fill your cisterns (with whatever ship consumes) on stations... but you can basically fly forever without docking.

Isn't it wierd? Big smile

PS: its just thinking for fun, I dont want to make game even more complicated. But can you imagine those riots on orbital gas stations or attacks on fuel convoys after new war on galaxy's oil fields clusters and market prices hit the roof? Pirate

Your ship's primary power source is a Fusion Reactor. You can gather elemental hydrogen from space as you travel with magnetic scoops (which incidentally create a braking force on your ship).

And jump drives/ jump bridges do use fuel. So presumably flying around takes no fuel. And the gates are kept fueled by *someone*.

Someday *someone* going to forget to refuel the gates, and that will be one very interesting day.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Would open a whole new field of sov warfare. Good bad or otherwise make gate syphon units that need to be patrolled but shut off it full, so also need to be emptied. Maybe a bonus to DST for fuel (finally giving it a real role)

More likely though our stalwart community would make it a way to keep systems locked up and over safe for baby caps to be born in. So likely more problems than fun.
