These burner mission are tough as hell and they pay out less then a level 2 mission. WTF? Did a bunch of these today and they all pay like 200k and 800 LP.

At least CCP is Keeping EVE's award for having the worse PVE in the gaming world.

Weak Update.

When I first heard about the Burner missions, I assumed there would be separate agents for them. But no, it turns out they're in the normal level 4 mission pool. Then I thought, "well that might be a nice change for PVE players, mix things up a bit." Then I found out there are no consequences for declining them. "But I'm sure they're short and worth the trouble, considering we're dealing with frigates."

"Burner Mission Rewards are Horrible!"

Rendering it all completely inconsequential.

I had actually been looking up frig fittings to get through LV1-3

What's weak is your knowledge of PVE. If you took the time to visit the test server forums, you'd understand what is going on here.

I think the idea is we strive for loot from the frigate kill.

There are too many layers to make it lucrative or farm material. You are essentially killing sleepers with different names. Take it for what it is.

So because of the reward, the PvE is horrible?

What you actually wrote is...

"I am greedy! The payout for burner missions is horrible! It's too hard for the amount!"

Your rant has NOTHING to do with the PvE aspect of the game!

Google is your friend. I have already seen a few threads on reddit which go into detail how to beat the burner missions and hence their biggest downfall.

I would imagine in a week or two you have in depth guides on how to do them and they will become easily farmable.

Now after testing the burner missions i just dont see the gain to be enough to justify running these with other level 4 missions.

It takes max frig/small weapon skills to run em and specific ship to do em and no you cannot even complete most of these with T2 faction frigates you need to use Pirate frigates.

I call Balance fail (Seriously CCP should stop making ships out of spacedust and actually start using Real FITS for npc's)

Lets compare these to other level 4 missions and lets ask are these in line with those? (sopposed to be hard and supposed to be doable with most T2 frigs are 2 completely different things)

So unless the reward is 3-5 times higher than what it is now i am not going to bother with the investment even tough i have the skills for em

Risk is way too high compared to reward

Also you can kill the frig in less than one minutes. That does not work with most missions, except recon 1/3 and cargo dilivery. You need to calculate the ISK per hour for the missions, not the total reward. At least if you want to compare them.

1 - Read that link, OP.
2- Bounties on burners are something like 2-5 mil
3 - Burners have a chance to drop faction modules.

I like to solo my level 4 missions since I mostly play solo, but the burner mission I got where I would encounter a Sansha succubus... My dps of 200 only put a dent in his shield, my resistance of 70% EM and 65% Therm didn't do ****. I had a t2 webifier with me as well which didn't do **** since it only got a range of 10km.

These burner missions seem to be group effort, where in my case, regular lvl 4 missions with my Paladin pays out more isk.
To all those who would call me greedy, I can only say that I don't find it fun that I need a frigate with dead space and faction defence inorder to do them, nor do I want to gang up with people (As I said, I do stuff alone)

I'm excited to see what CCP is going to say when this has been out for a month.

Edit: and the bounty and reward of the burner mission is garbage compared to all other lvl 4 missions.

They'll say "smart people figured it out after 2 days" because that's what is happening.

Also, have some videos

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4957914#post4957914

These new missions take very little effort, thought, training and time. I'm down to a 1 minute 37 seconds with the same Succubus you can seem to dent, using my Ishkur.

Depends how high chance of faction drop is, and what kinds of modules..

Yes sounds like 800LP is way too low - level 5 missions give what, 45k LP, level 4 give 5k LP?

But again, for 5 minutes of total effort... Get mission, reship, fly in, kill, dock up.. 5 minutes tops? Probably still too low IMHO, I would up the LP reward to at least 3k, but again, it all depends on faction drop chance.

If there is at least a 5% chance of drop of Gistii A-type booster for example, suddenly it becomes worthwhile to farm them.

I did that to and lost a dedspace daredevil
You know what my response to this is?
Train gallente frig 5 and try again in 5 days

Somebody else has done them in a couple of different fits for amarr assault frigs, so Ill get those next
Easiest answer is going to be make a friend and one webs the other shoots, victory is had
Or maybe a booster alt, that would have likely saved the poor daredevil.
Oh well, just means i do some other l4s and buy a stratios to replace my loss.
So I only make a 100 mil profit after these losses, so sad and suffering on me.

But seriously they arent easy and while I cast greater scorn on Fozzie for not letting ewar work, I do think they will be easy once some minor events are done.

Considering how quick you can churn through these especially if you have an alt or buddy up. you need to factor in profit from the every 16 mission storylines and storyline faction standing as well.

Does anyone know whether these just generate normal lvl 4 storylines or add to a "burner pool" leading to burner storylines ?
