Hi there, I've been flying the Nightmare with tachyons recently doing random missions to see the damage output, which is pretty decent against em/them, but I couldn't ignore some weird behavior of the guns.

First the fit:

Lows:

x4 Imperial Navy Heat Sinks
x1 Tracking Enhancer T2

Meds:

x2 Shadow Serpentis Tracking Computers (+tracking speed)
The rest are just tank modules

High:
x4 Tachyon
x1 Drone Link Aug.
x1 Small Tractor Beam

Tracking Speed:

Amarr/Caldari BS = V
Support = V

=>0.046 rad/sec

Weird Behavior:

1. I have my weapons split in 2 groups of 2 in order to avoid (as much as you can) overkill.
2. Every time i activate them both, shooting at the same target I will get the following:

a) 1 Group hits for " " well aimed damage whilst the 2 Group hits for " " lightly - This happens the most frequently
b) 1 Group hits for " " excellent damage whilst the 2 Group hits for " " barely scratching - This happens frequently
c) 1 Group hits for " " well aimed damage whilst the 2 Group hits for " " hit - This happens frequently

I have yet to see both groups hitting with the same modifier excellent or Well aimed. Perfect is totally missing, doesn't matter if I am hitting big structures or battle ships (both 0km transverse). Anyway, the point I am trying to make is, that when one group hits with higher damage modifier ( modifier > (normal)hit), then the second group will, guaranteed, hit with a lower damage modifier ( modifier < (normal)hit), regardless the transverse speed of the target. This pattern keeps happening every time I shoot at things.

Anyone else experiencing the same?
Is this normal behavior and I am just a random noob?
Will Robin be able to prove his endless love to Batman?

Thanks

It becomes pretty much random, for both sides, lower and higher modifier, the problem there, is i cant not identify them well enough.

Away from my NM at the moment so I can't experiment.
However I remember a game (AC) which had an error in the code which made random events not so random and wasn't discovered for a few years. I wouldn't be surprised in the random hits of the turrets are not.

Have you considered that when the first turret hits it pushes the target off the way and the second turret cannot hit as well.

Also I think you should experiment in hitting 2 targets with a turret group each :)
