i think i remember a character called socratic talking a lot when i was a newbie? that was late 2011 though which is a year off the four years mentioned by the op

Oh. Socratic. An Arnon feature. I knew he was gone, but I had no idea why. Well, I think he's funny. He never did me no harm and is pretty witty in local. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience. I'm sorry for everyone who had bad experiences. Even I have had bad experiences! Though, not with Socratic. There IS this matter of my fifth grade teacher, however....

Actually, now you mention this, there is always a need for kind-hearted experienced players in Arnon to help n00bs get over some Sisters of EVE Arc Mission "humps", especially the last mission. I don't suggest anyone camp out there for arduous amounts of time, however, now and again to be helpful would be very ... helpful!

It would also keep n00bs out of the clutches of no account scoundrels such as...Socratic (apparently.) Ultimately, it's just a nice thing to do if you have the time and inclination.

I gotta tell you, thanks for this link. I ran through all the content and it was like a good movie. Those were indeed the days. We can talk about them all we want, but it doesn't touch the actuality of it. Just seeing EVE-Search again...how the posts there spoke so well. Such bravura. Such brass. I think, now, after listening to this moron go on and on for a while before blocking him ... that he is an imposter and not another char run by the same human as Socratic was, as he claims ... Socratic was a donkey (ass) but a much more intelligent ass than this particular one, and much more consistant in his megalomania methinks ...
