Containers in POS force field

I'm posting to this thread, even though it's a question that goes well beyond WHs. But since most if not all who live in WHs use POS, I'm hoping someone tried it and can provide definitive feedback. Searching on the topic yielded confusing answers from different sources. The closest I found to a definitive answer was here but it lacked details.

I would like to "drop" or anchor a container within our POS force field - ideally permanently and as large as possible. Once there, I would also like to provide both corp and non-corp members (the latter will gain access to our POS force field via password) access to the container's content.

Is this possible? If so, which types of container can I use? Will the container disappear after a period of time? Can they be anchored withing the POS force field?

Thanks in advance!

i think you can anchor giant secure containers or freight containers thought

Yes.

Any sized container can be launched within a forcefield, small to freight.

No, they will remain in space forever.

No, and this means that passwords on secure containers will not function.

Anyone can open the containers. Including out-of-corp people who can get in the forcefield via password.

Thank you Adarnof. That's great.

Remember if you launch Giant/Enormous freight containers, they will be too large to scoop with common wormhole ships. This means you can't relocate or destroy the containers without turning off your POS shield. Don't launch cans where they will get in your way.

Inside of a forcefield:

You can drop Enormous Freight Containers. They don't anchor, but they are unscoopable with nothing less than a freighter (you can bring them into a wormhole using a industrial. The container will be packaged (so it takes up very little space to bring in). Once you launch it, it is huge and pretty much stuck inside the shield. It will stay there permanently. It has 0 security though (anybody can access it who is inside the shield).

Outside the shield...

You can anchor secure containers. They can be locked with a password if you like, and are unscoopable unless you have the password. They are MUCH smaller than the freight containers. In addition, you must check them at least ONCE every month (not hard to do). They have enough EHP to resist being blown up by random passer byers (and nobody will bother shooting a container).

It is outside the POS shield so use a ship that has a tank "Just in case". Chances of someone taking a potshot is minimal to non-existent. There are the random crazies out there though.

Yaay!!!!
