Afterburner skill results

Don't know if I'm missing something basic here or not, but when I finished training Afterburner to level 4, my AB speed went from 642m/s to 660m/s. This was not the 5% increase that the skill increase was supposed to provide. Even EFT and EveHQ show the new AB speed at 670. Training the first 3 levels of the AB skill has provided way closer to a 5% increase in speed than this last result. Anybody see what's wrong with this situation? Is it just me thinking wrong that a promised 5% increase in afterburner speed is not really what the final results will be?
Searched the forums and didn't find a simular issue.

Your new speed is old speed +20%. That's how all bonuses from skills works.

I need new signature.

Afterburner skill doesnt improve your speed. It adds +10% duration for your AB-Cycle. Don't know how you get different speed values. Ceteris paribus ftw.
