Gecko BPO

So,

we all love the Gecko drone.
But I also believe many of us are fearing the day when they become extremely rare and unaffordable.

Is there a chance that we will be able to produce them some time in the future, so that there will be a constant supply, maybe in the prize range of 'augmented' drones.

Maybe it is possible to make a BPX drop in data- / relic- / ghost sites in Guristas space.
Or a bpo with high material costs.

What do you think?

I think they should stay rare so AT XIII is even more fun with expensive rare things blowing up.

How to get more Gecko's.
1. Wait for someone to deploy 1 or more against you in PvP.
2. Then make their ship explode.
3. Scoop to Cargohold.
4. More Gecko's

would be nice to have the drone line extended up to 50Mb, but the gecko must stay unique.

I shoot the gecko drones first just to spite whoever owns them.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

However ... expect a limited run Gecko BPC along with a special 'unique' frigate or two and some funky "paint your ship purple" reskns as part of some "Special Edition Starter pack" for XMAS 2014.

I just toss mine in a cargohold with some Guinness and Jameson shots, turn up the techno music, and voila.. baby Geckos.

I think I've scooped up 6 of them now. And blown up 7 of them. Just doing my small part.

Actually it's never intentional. My drones tend to chew through the Geckos after their controller dies, and they pop before I realize what's going on. I gotta remember to recall drones as soon as the ship dies. X

I thought Geckos were loot to be scooped from mission runners who run like hell from your t1 frigate?
misconception maybe? i'm gonna keep the ones I find for later when they become collector's items.

The neglected implication is that geckos are supposed to be rare.

I kind of like the idea of them being rare. Everyone gets a new toy, and those who hold on to them for the long game get to make a bunch of isk from people who have too much of it. Everyone has the same chance, but who will have the nerves of steel to keep them as long as needed to reap a nice profit?

They most likely willl as the Gecko is the only saving grace of CCP Rise shitting up the Rattlesnake so bad.

I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone got what, like 7 geckos? 7 Geckos X 300,000 accounts is 2.1 million geckos.

Dont think so. Zephyrs are useful for WH site bookmarking and module retrieval, but they arent adding more of those. its been several years...

Often times when im running a fleet i primary the gecko's on grid more than the ships we find, simply because they go a long way towards winning the ISK war and taking a ton of DPS off the grid with each dead one

Ah, of course, that was where I went wrong! Damn it, those dumb expenses!
Okay, for those following along, it's pretty crucial that you put your Exotic Dancers, Female in either a bay (If in space) or your station hangar. Don't add them to your cargohold, that will spoil it (This is where I went wrong). Now, I do have some Cyborgs here that I'm willing to sell to any interested buyers, but be careful, they are pretty eccentric and reacts poorly to microwaves.
And, as a word of caution, unless you have a large supply of Exotic Dancers, Female, make sure to have a password on your safety station container, else the Geckos will cost you a lot of money in replacement Exotic Dancers, Female.
I learned that one the hard way myself.

I have heard that Crash will accelerate the process, but all it seems to do is convert everything in my cargohold and dronebay into Scrapmetal and Garbage. Does anyone know that trick?
And of course, there's the story going around that you can replace the Spirits with Quafe. That's simply baloney, folks. You can do no such thing.
