This, IMO, is exactly why insurance should have never changed.

A) Ganker is guaranteed to die and take a sec hit, due to infallible, unrealistic Concord.
B) Target, on the other hand, is NOT guaranteed to die.
C) If the target DOES die, its not guaranteed to drop anything.

Remove insurance - fine - but then NERF the evil loot gods - make all goodies drop!

Actually the OP thinks that these ships are going to be so cheap that players will use them to gank all the time.

A tempest may run a few mill more than one of these new BC's - they have battleship class price tags on them due to material costs (and it'll be a while until researched BPO's are done up).

CONCORD incidents won't pay insurance anymore so this composite will make these BC's even more costly losses than using an alpha Maelstrom to gank today.

If gankers are too cheap to fly heavy fit ships today, what the hell makes the OP think they'll be willing to cough up that much "per kill" AFTER these ships comes out?

Hahaha. I like your shoot the messenger approach. I do not suicide gank. Like many things in Eve I have taken the time to learn ganking and therefore form an informed viewpoint.

I also very rarely come across gankers who wish to target my alts; don't transport items of extreme value, always fly what you can afford to lose, don't idle in stupid places, understand that by undocking you are consenting to be a target.

PVP = player vs player.
PVP=/= honourable fair player vs honourable fair player

While you can argue that players who seek to capitalise on an unbalanced mechanic are weak, you can not dispute the fact the ganking is a player vs player activity.

1. So I rig my car to selfdestruct with dynamite. Or I just smash it up with a crowbar. Then I walk down to the insurance company and get money. This happens in Eve.

2. So I buy a brand new Chevy Silverado, mount a .50 cal machine gun in the back and take it to Libya. It gets pwned by a mortar round, so I go to the insurance company and ask for money and get it. This happens in EVE.

Solution: Remove all insurance, as no insurance company would ever insure warships (or indeed, ANY ships) that are entering a warzone. And all of EVE is a warzone, highsec or not.

Interestingly, IRL, I can insure my vehicle for theft, yet if someone manages to steal my ship from a corp hangar, I get nothing.

TLDR; jojo jackson is an idiot, and I'm stupid for even bothering to refute his argument.

You have ONE who can act and another one who can do NOTHING as in most cases he don't even see what happens (loading screen/lag).

If I check this forum it's the "PvP comunity" which crys hardcore for "BALANCE" all the time.

But as it seams ... balance is just important if it favors your playstyle ... right?

oracle=46.5mill not that good
nage = 47.6mill not that good
talos = 52.9mill good ship or is that goon ship
tornado = 40.5mill ship of the day get some ME's on it you looking at 36mill ship

Cant believe im responding...again...but PVP is player vs player. says nothing about if each player wants the combat, nothing about fairness, ect. just PLAYER VS PLAYER. i think ganking qualifies as that.

as to the **** off fair play and the rules, what they are doing IS within the rules of the game. YOU may not like it, but it is indeed part of the game. suck it up and deal with it, or move on.


As far as balance favoring MY playstyle...well, ill say this. im a carebear...bigtime. got less than 10 kills to my name in all of 5 years of playing EVE. (with almost a year spent in null to boot, hah) So, does ganking favor my playstyle? nope. but its part of what makes EVE EVE. If im stupid enough to undock in a loot pinata Tengu/faction BS/whatever and not pay attention, i deserve to be on the receiving end of a bunch of 1400mm turrets. Without the threat of stupidly DIAF, what ive earned is meaningless.
