Will there be a punishment for CODE. since it is a kind of manipulation on bets of the outcome of this fight? I am sure RvB would have kicked them into the curbs, however this is a affront to the sincere AT fighters, CCP and the Audience?

Or will they be spared of consequences since they acted like kindergarden children?

A manipulation of bets is part of metagaming.

See: previous ATs.

nope apparently our alliance team banned catas and talos and they logged off so wasn't a fight don't know how ccp would punish them or if it even worth punishing them since they will more than likely not show up next week and be eliminated anyways and circle of two will get themselves a bye next week.

Just waking up everyday and being themselves is punishment enough, besides it will be fun watching them try to put a positive spin on this.

This is why, IRL, there is regulation of betting on competitions.

Remove the regulations, and you will find some cunning people that win bets in devious ways.

It wouldn't be the first time somebody jobbed an AT match to make ISK (or, dare I say it, some actual bucks).

The main consensus is just that they were horribad and without Catalyst's and/or Talo's they didn't have a backup fleet comp and so basically declined to play.

As for 'punishment'..........

For what, exactly?

Also, post on your main or GTFO.

Uuuhh, smart!

Well, no!

You mean you found a betting broker that let you bet on "forfeiting"?
You bet on win or lose, but running away gets you a refund at best,

Not very cunning of you.
Lets state the fact: codies failed massivly.
All the rest are the sad and obvious tries to save the tiniest bit of reputation.

But even on that: again : CODE. fails.

Excuse me in my Opinion all Excuses are a lie, especialy the "betting wins / money transfer"

A possible xx Billion ISK win at the same time?
Guy how sad is this?
The CODE. AT flight was absolutly Priceless!

The only thing that needs to happen is CCP developing a plan for something to fill the time when stuff like that happens.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

This thread is dumb.

CODE are not the only team to ever forfeit a match during the AT. Why would they be "punished"?

Why didn't you read the arguments?

Your friends loyal-thingie and DJ-boy say they took ISK to forfeit this Fight.
This means they tried to manipulate an E-Sports event, that would be reason enough for punishment.

However, i consider this a lie. This act of cowardice yesterday was an Epic Fail and now codies like you try desparatly to give the catastrophe another spin.

You all failed.

My "friends" would blow me up just as soon as they would you, mate. (And have before, mind you)

I did read the arguments, but since no punishment is outlined in the rules, no punishment can be levied afterwards.

If they did indeed take isk to throw the fight, how can they have "failed"? I would say they accomplished their objectives. Wouldnt you?

Of course you would like to spin it that way.
Question: Which objectives?

The ones mentioned *after* the codies botched the match?
Or the boasts they did sometime before the AT started?

I consider that what codies said before.
And everything after that as frantic tries to give this Epic Fail another spin.

Yes in my opinion this is still an Epic Fail.
You can't spin that either.

Indeed.
Especially when you try to make it looking official.

Dear good lookin' forum alt...

... the facts of the matter are easily understood.

There never was punishment involved for metagaming the ATs ...
... and there never will be, even if people don't like it.

Yours truly,
Me.

Its really simple just look to the Assasin's Creed motto

"Nothing is true, everything is permited"

You can either choose to beleive the forum trolls, white-knights, conspiracy theorists, and the ones who's tinfoil hats may be choking off some of the blood getting to their brain. Or simply accept that anything goes is largely the case here since there is a very defined, small, and specific set of rules in place and use every option outside those boundaries to your advantage.

I'm not sure you understand what devious means...topical that's what is says on my vanity plate!

The eve-bet odds had their win odds at like 1.10 - so for every billion they put down they'd get....100mil?

Not to burst your bubble but this isn't how you make money fixing matches.
